My husband and I spent 5 nights at this inn during the Fall Foliage season as part of a combination driving tour and horseback riding vacation. We loved every minute of it. The inn was part of a package we purchased which included riding at the Vermont Icelandic Horse Farm (run by the same family). We also booked lodging at... More

We had a very warm welcome, and felt like "one of the family" right away. The rooms were very nicely decorated and clean and the living room downstairs was cozy. Every afternoon there was tea and cookies with was highly appreciated. Breakfast was very well made, maybe a bit to many sweet courses for our European palate, but nice with... More

I spent a very comfortable night in a cozy second floor room - great bed and very clean bath room. The owner was so helpful and went out of his way to be flexible and provide for my diet restrictions. Although I had planned to "eat and run" the conversation over breakfast with other guests was an added pleasure.

My wife and I have stayed here as couple, with family and with friends to ski Sugarbush and Mad River several times. Short drive to the 3 mountains. Great place to relax after a day of skiing before heading out to the valleys restaraunts. Luc's pic of the day for breakfast is served before hitting the slopes. The food has... More

Our vacation package included 5 days of riding (we covered 55 miles on Icelandic horses on scenic trails and roads), 5 nights and exceptional meals and hospitality. Luc prepared gourmet breakfasts and dinners, and Karen and June provided us with wonderful horses each day. The horses were very well cared for at a beautiful clean facility. It's the only place... From check inn to check out the experience was great! The best part aside from the breakfast was the real homey feeling. It was such pleasant contrast to the "hotel" experience. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Enjoy the breakfast it was amazing. Thanks!!!!

We spent 3 nights at the Mad River Inn with our two teenage girls. Ate sumptuous breakfasts, hiked the many nearby trails and rode the Icelandic Horses. Luc was incredibly accommodating and the scenery at breakfast in the morning was breathtaking. This is a great place for a couple to spend a romantic weekend, or for a family to use... More

We visit the beautiful Waitsfield area every year (since the late 90's) and always stay at the Mad River Inn. Casual and picturesque, the inn and its surroudings are idyllic. The breakfasts are delicious and served on the back porch which offers a great view of the farmland and mountains. The bedrooms are inviting and very comfortable. A great place... More

This is the place to visit to enjoy the Vermont scenery along route 100. Enjoy a view of the cornfield rather than a parking lot view elsewhere. Tasty breakfasts can be enjoyed out on the back porch. Listen to the birds sing & catch a glimpse of a hummingbird. Cookies & tea in the afternoon. Bathroom small as you would... More
