My husband and I stayed here at the Mad Horse about two weeks ago on our annual ski trip - our first in the East, and our first stay at a bed & breakfast. We were initially skeptical of staying at a B&B, just due to the communal feel and nature of it, as we have always enjoyed the anonymity... More

Luc was very helpful right from the start, when he picked up the phone at 10:30pm and allowed the four of us to stay for the night without any sort of reservation or prior notice, which was a lifesaver for procrastinators such as us! He also went out of his way to drive with us to the ski mountain so... More

We stayed here in early March of 2015 and had a delightful time. Luc and his wife are very hospitable and cannot do enough for you. The place is warm, cozy, and nicely appointed. Fresh cookies and tea and an incredibly clean and refreshingly hot, hot tub await you upon your return from the ski day. The location is adjacent... More

We live in Vermont so just like to find a place nearby to easily get away. We like CLEAN, quiet, roomy, to be left alone when we want alone, and polite/professional. Mad River Inn turned out to be really great. At first we thought we might have made a bad choice since the room was smaller than we might have... More

Mad River Inn holds a special place in mine and my wife's hearts. We have been repeat visitors in the ski season with Luc and his family because we know that every time we go that we'll have a great experience, consistently. We've stayed in almost all of the rooms in the inn and they are always cozy, comfortable and... More

My girlfriend (now fiancé) and I have stayed here the past couple of skiing seasons. Luc always makes us feel welcome. He makes eye-popping and delicious breakfasts! We enjoy staying in different rooms with each visit as they are each unique. My fiancé and I enjoy using the hot tub after a full day of skiing at sugarbush and shooting... More

My husband and I spent 5 nights at this inn during the Fall Foliage season as part of a combination driving tour and horseback riding vacation. We loved every minute of it. The inn was part of a package we purchased which included riding at the Vermont Icelandic Horse Farm (run by the same family). We also booked lodging at... More

We had a very warm welcome, and felt like "one of the family" right away. The rooms were very nicely decorated and clean and the living room downstairs was cozy. Every afternoon there was tea and cookies with was highly appreciated. Breakfast was very well made, maybe a bit to many sweet courses for our European palate, but nice with... More

I spent a very comfortable night in a cozy second floor room - great bed and very clean bath room. The owner was so helpful and went out of his way to be flexible and provide for my diet restrictions. Although I had planned to "eat and run" the conversation over breakfast with other guests was an added pleasure.

My wife and I have stayed here as couple, with family and with friends to ski Sugarbush and Mad River several times. Short drive to the 3 mountains. Great place to relax after a day of skiing before heading out to the valleys restaraunts. Luc's pic of the day for breakfast is served before hitting the slopes. The food has... More
