I booked a night at Basin Harbor Club through travelzoo- they had a deal which included- one night's stay, breakfast for two, 1 and 1/2 hour cruise on Lake Champlain, and unlimited green fees for $170 before taxes. I did not know what to expect, especially when we checked in and received our ID cards which said "travelzoo special room".... More

Just got back from another great week at Basin Harbor. I got to stay at one of the older stone cottages. It was so quiet just up a short driveway from the golf course with a great view of the Lake, I travel with my dog, who loves Basin Harbor and all the attention he gets. I did a quick... More

There were a dozen of us having a sort of family reunion at the Basin Harbor Club, ranging in age from 5 to 75. It's really an ideal place for that sort of thing...the kids run around all day, the older members of the family catch up with them at meals. I love that all the cottages are so different... More

My husband and I spent five days at the Basin Harbor Club and had a thoroughly relaxing time. Our cottage was lovely and while not on the lake we had a pretty view of it. Wonderful to have multiple dining options and the shore dinner offered one evening lovely and delicious. Staff was attentive. Owners around and very friendly. To... More

Loved it!! We are a couple with no kids or dogs and still had a great time. Everyone we saw looked very happy especially the kids. The staff were accomodating and friendly and the service good. This is rural Vermont and not the city so if you have service expectations for a 5 star city hotel you may be disappointed.... More

While I was expecting a certain stuffiness to the resort, what I found was a sweet, old-fashioned scene (kids swimming and riding bikes, adults golfing and reading in adirondack chairs by the lake), with lots of choices for many tastes. The service was excellent, with staff from around the world. I took a long walk along the cliff-y lake bank... More

We traveled to Basin Harbor Club at the end of August for 4 nights with a 15 year old. The location is beautiful, activities plentiful with the waterfront, golf etc. What was disappointing were the accommodations, food and lack of service. We were in a two bedroom cabin and specifically requested accommodations that were recently updated - and told in... More

Spent three nights and four days. As a lakeside resort, there's plenty to do: kayaking, canoeing, hiking, biking. Rec'd the Escape cruise with Captain Tom: a quick tour of Lake Champlain with some nice historical perspective and a little nature talk, too. Fees for activities are reasonable: $12/person for the cruise, $16/hour for a canoe rental. Meditation class was enjoyed... More

Our family has stayed at Basin Harbor Club (BHC) for the last two years and it is quickly becoming one of our favorite resorts. The property is set on a beautiful spot on Lake Champlain. There is plenty to do for all ages: from bike riding, swimming, sailing, golfing, tennis and the like. Many of the guests have been coming... More

Although they advertised a special rate, once I arrived there were incremental fees making what I actually paid more than the advertised rate. I also found the staff not overly friendly and welcoming. There were no unreserved tables at the pub that evening, I had to sit at the bar near the entrance to the kitchen ..alone. For the $$...
