Ok, I read all of the negative reviews and felt compelled to write after spending part of the Pres week holiday at Stratton Mt resort. True, if you are looking for hard core rugged double blacks, this is not the place for you. However, we found beautifully groomed powdery really long trails, an impeccably clean well run resort and friendly... More

Expensive Lessons, Expensive Beers, Expensive Experience. HOWEVER, the mountain was very well groomed and I had a great time with friends. I would suggest not going on a holiday weekend unless you want to wait on lift lines longer then the great wall of China. Their strip of shops and bars added to the nightlife, which is good considering the... More

taking the lift up the first day was sick as you rise above the clouds. its really a great place, but im amazed that the is the "birthplace of snowboarding". its got some really severely flat areas. which if i knew about id get some major speed and slide thru them. but never having been to stratton i had no... How long were the lines? Waited 35 minutes on the Gondola after the first run. The next time down the line was 2x the size. NO more Gondola. Time for early lunch? Nope. The line for lunch was 30 minutes… at 10 am. They do not even start serving lunch until 10:30! No lunch. Waited 45 minutes to get half... More

We stopped at the mountain to visit the popular Ice Castles. We went at night to enjoy the light show displayed from all the colored lights embedded in the ice castle sculptures. This was a really fun activity. We took lots of pictures of the castle structures and pictures of ourselves goofing off in front of all the awesome castles.... More

The condo was a nice 2 story condo. Our particular condo had too much furniture, that the last tenants had rearranged- probably because they had a baby & housekeeping never put back. The hotel did not have much to offer., we were but given much information upon checkin. The village is small with not enough restaurants, not many shops. The... More

Mountain is nice and I'm a repeat visitor. Local restaurants and stores are all good and mountain is very enjoyable to ski with the family. Black Bear Lodge was a huge disappointment. Food from the last room occupant found in a dresser drawer. Typical college feel, kids screaming in the parking lot at 2 am. Three nights and something happened... More

We went for a day trip there and were very happy about the resort. I tried most of the green trails as I am not a very confident skier. The view on all the green trails were amazing, I love skiing pass by all the vacation houses along the run and imagine myself staying there and ski in and out... More

I was just in Stratton last week for a few days. The mountain/resort is an easy drive from NJ. Customer service was extremely friendly and helpful at every interaction. The condos at Long Trail House are conveniently located across the street from the mountain. A good amount of shops in the village, but it has a very corporate feel to... More

I'm so confused about all the other reviews saying how helpful and knowledgeable the staff was. They were completely useless, starting with the ski school. We chose this mountain because it was our children's first time skiing and we wanted them to have a great experience. The first day one of our kids got sick so we brought the other... More
