4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

I have stayed at this property many times over the years. I have seen many changes and upgrades. The replacement of the van with a minibus is a big plus. Especially with ski boots. The lodge is kept very clean and the beds are super comfy. Megan the manager is terrific! My only negative comment is the restaurant needs more... More

Hotel staff was very friendly. The room was very nice and spacious. Great location in the village. They had a shuttle that ran all day, never waited for more than 3 minutes for it. Awesome complimentary continental breakfast. Very nice hot tub and sauna. Only complaint is the beds were kind of hard, but not terrible. We will be coming... More

The Black Bear Lodge is priced like a fancy ski resort, but looks like a low-quality motel. First, the lobby smells heavily of chlorine, which wafts in from the nasty hot tub a full floor down! We took one look at the hot tub and decided against it - the entire area looked as though it hadn't been renovated in... More

We can't recommend the Black Bear Lodge and the main reason for this is the noise. The walls are paper thin, but the real issue is the noisy heaters and the unbelievably noisy extractor fans you can hear from other rooms. We felt like there was always some buzzing or humming or something to disturb us. Who cares if you're... More

Great room, great location, great shuttle service. Poor hot tub area and challenging common areas. Stay here for the friendly staff at the reception counter, the cleanliness and comfort of the room-beds are good, linens good, spacious bathroom. You'll be put off by the concrete transition area in which you'll find the indoor hot tub and sauna. There's a skylight... More

Lobby and restaurant are nice. We were on the lower level and could hear multiple people being intimate and heavy foot traffic throughout the night. Bring ear plugs and sound machine if you are planning on getting any zzzzz's. HUGE wafts throughout hotel- if this is offensive, then it's not the right hotel for you. Standard complimentary breakfast - bagels,... More

I was met at the front desk by both friendly and attentive staff at the front desk. Wes and Megan were great and very efficient. The room was simple and clean. Floors creeked a little, but hey, that is part of the character. Very close to the base and the village area. We didn't take the shuttle but we heard... More

this hotel would be great if it would be less expensive.for the money they charge, they could do some updating of the rooms, especially the heating system. is extremely noisy, could not sleep because of it. The bathrooms are nicely renovated. the furniture in the rooms needs updating as well. Otherwise, the staff is very helpful and knowledgeable, quite a... More

My husband and I wanted to get away for our 3rd anniversary. We found the awesome ski and stay package Stratton offered and booked it. When we arrived a very nice young lady named Elysia checked us in. She was so welcoming. My husband told her it was our anniversary vacation and we began talking about how we left our... More
