We stayed here a few times when it was the Inn at Stratton and had the opportunity to stay here again now that it is Black Bear Lodge. The lodge is clean and the staff is friendly. The breakfast is better than in the past but food options are limited. The hotel is a short stroll or shuttle from the... More

We stayed at this lodge for one night on May 31 for a Tough Mudder the following morning. Upon arrival, we found the place incredibly clean and fresh. The bathroom was spotless and nice toiletries were included. The room itself was a basic, what you would expect room. We did find the beds incredibly hard though. All the linens were... More

We checked into the black bear lodge Friday night. When we got in our room I realized there were 2 beds when we requested 1. Although it may not seem like a big deal it is when the room is barely big enough for one bed. When you add that second bed in there you can barely move. The bottom... More

The rooms were OK & clean. We were looking for a quiet night and requested the top floor (per good tips from other TripAdvisor reviews), facing away from the parking lot & away from the stairs. The breakfast was terrible, whether you had the included breakfast or purchased off of the menu. If you really need breakfast, do not count... More

We stayed here thru a travelzoo voucher and ended up adding an extra night. They had our lift tickets and rental info all ready upon check in. The hotel is in a perfect spot as you can walk to the village in a few minutes. The best part is they have a continuous shuttle to the village, i dont think... More

My son and I stayed here on a ski trip. We had been to the same hotel five years ago (then named the Inn at Stratton Mountain) and rooms were very dated. They just completed room renovations in December, 2013. Big improvement. Comfortable beds, flat screen, nice bathrooms. I was told the common areas will be renovated next. Big draw... More

Lodge is across from ski hills. There is a shuttle that runs you back and forth every 10 minutes. Front desk at night needs more training. Very basic. Breakfast was awful awful awful. But it is included. Rooms were decorated ok and clean but again no frills. Perfect for young kids because they can't break anything of value and there... More

We had the perfect weekend skiing at Stratton this past weekend! We stayed in the Black Bear Lodge one night and it was great. We arrived super early and they let us check in at 8:30am which was amazing to be able to drop off our stuff and get changed before headed out for the day. They have a shuttle... More

We were glad to check in early on Saturday around noon because we had a 1:15 lesson at Stratton. The shuttle service makes staying here really convenient to the mountain. Once again the Hot Tub was out of order. The offer a voucher for the Sports Center but who wants go outside with wet hair for the shuttle ride back.... More

Lodge has a free shuttle that takes you right up to the mountain for skiing, dining, and shopping. Only complaint is that the restaruant in the lodge does not stay open late during the week. 8pm on a Monday it closed and my boyfriend and I had to figure out what we were going to eat without any notice. Breakfast... More
