We have stayed at The Green Mountain Inn some 50 times in the last 20 plus years. Never, ever have we had anything but a great time and a positive experience- I am dumbfounded by some of these reviews- it makes me wonder if we are talking about the the same place. Rooms are clean, well appointed and guests have... more

We really enjoyed our stay at the Green Mountain Inn. In fact, we booked 2 nights, and liked it so much we stayed another night. Our room (In the Mansfield House) was spacious, quiet, and had a fireplace, jacuzzi and fridge. The staff is friendly and approachable, and provided great recommendations for activities such as hiking, dining, bike rentals, walking... more

Had a great trip, Stowe is a great place summer or winter. The Inn in centerally located in town which served as our home base for the weekend. The weather could have been better for the 4th but can't do much about that. Just means less people and lots more mud on the mountain bike trails (just down the road).... more

The wife and I recently returned from a weekend trip to the Green Mountain Inn. The rate was a tad pricey at $260 a night. We stayed in the Mansfield House, in a room with a jacuzzi. The staff were all wonderful. All in all, it was a very good experience and we would return if the price was right. more

We took advantage of an internet offer to stay three nights in June 2009, this in a luxury bedroom in the Mansfield House. Room No 727 is probably one of the best hotel rooms we have ever stayed in. A large room measuring approx 26ft x 20ft, immaculately furnished, romantic lighting, a very comfortable king size bed, coffee table with... more

Seldom on your travels do you find a hotel which exceeds everyone of your expectations, but the Green Mountain Inn certainly did this for my partner and I. Situated on the main street of Stowe it was easy to find and has plentiful off road free parking which it shares with the next door shops. Beautifully maintained both inside and... more

Great spot that we have returned to again and again as well as to recommend it to our friends. Any who complain are not staying in the Mill or Mansfield House rooms because they are truly luxurious with Jacuzzi and fireplace. It is within walking distance of everything -- the theater, restaurants, shops, beginning of the bike path, etc. There... more

Beware of booking through Expedia as I did which will result in being assigned a room in the annex rather than the inn itself. The rooms did not really differ from any roadside motel with cheap metal blinds in the bathroom and dark rooms. The dark colors of the rooms did not help. The standard rooms in the inn were... more

Stopped of at Stowe for 2 nights on way to Canada from NH. Checked in early but very helpful and friendly check-in sorted out rooms. Rooms excellent at back of main building. Hotel has a number of properties close to reception and seemed well laid out. Breakfast buffet excellent and good value. We used Stowe as a base to explore... more
