Stayed with several colleagues and received great service, a breakfast that eliminated the necessity to play predator in the neighborhood and beautiful scenery. Situated in the lower part of Stowe it is only 10 min or so drive from the mountain base and less than that for all the restaurants. (A great pizza take away opposite). The main attraction of this place is the way the owners( not employed staff) treat you as part of their family. They catered for my wifes dietry... more

The only thing nice about this place was the sign outside! Very shabby outside, needs nails, hammers and a lot of paint! It even has a ravine right behind it! It scared the heck out of me. In a town where $20 restaurant entrees are the norm, Auberge de Stowe is one incredible value. And a super friendly one, at that. We cannot say enough good things about Shawn & Chantal. Their B&B is perfect for a rustic Vermont experience. You feel like an exchange student staying in a family house. They are so warm and helping.... more

The price is not commensurate with the level of service provided. The rooms were clean and basic--certainly not above average or exceptional. Breakfast was chinsy. The common areas are in serious need of dusting. The hot tub was clean, functioning and well-maintained. Don't go over $50 per night. more
