This B&B was perfect in its location just off main street in downtown Stowe. The house was lovely, very clean, and very homey. We were able to just walk two blocks from there to meander along the main street in Stowe looking at all the shops and restaurants. It was my first B&B in the USA, and I just really... More

The house is lovely and couldn't be more centrally located in this bustling town. Many restaurants are within walking distance but reservations are generally needed. The bedroom was comfortable and the ensuite bathroom spacious. Our hostess was courteous and welcomed us on arrival and offered local tourist information. Breakfast was beautifully presented and we were able to choose what to... More

Built in 1860, this historic B&B is just off Main Street and within easy walking distance of a dozen good restaurants, stores and the Recreation Trail (#1 attraction in Stowe). The outside is this remarkably well-aged, three-storey building is dark-stained barn board, which is also used as a rustic accent in the spacious living room near the old, working black... More

Charming heritage house full of character, warm and cozy. Clean and comfortable. Very helpful and nice host. Perfect location in the village. Breakfast is basic but decent considering the price. I would definitely recommend it.

If you wnat to stay in a B & B with a host in residence, this is not the place for you. We rented through the Tourist Center in Stowe, and knew we would have a cold breakfast, but we did not know that there would be no host who would tell you about Stowe. A friend of the owner's... More

Thanks for letting me know this issue. On rare occasions I need to be out of Stowe and have a substitute Innkeeper. This person was new to the work and obviously needs some additional orientation. We will try our best to improve! Rose More

Had a large group 11 adults 5 kids. Accommodated us fine. kitchen facilities are great allowing us to cook 3 big meals for the crowd. rooms are very well sound proofed so everyone could get a quiet sleep even with some staying up late. Will stay there again.

A great way to support independent business owners. I would recommend rooms on the upper floors. The proprietress is warm and helpful. The place has WiFi and is directly across from the library. If you are looking for modernity this might not be your place. If you seek a great location competitive rates and a laid back atmosphere I'd recommend... More

My friend and I stayed at this lovely B & B the 3rd weekend in October and had a great time. The innkeeper is extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and had very comfortable bedding. I would certainly recommend this inn to anyone who enjoys a B & B experience. I would stay again at this place,... More

We stayed two nights at the 1860 House B & B during the peak fall foliage season. Our room was very nice size with a king bed, dresser, closet, and chair. The adjoining full bathroom was also a nice size. Although there was no television in the room, we didn't find much need for one. And Rose did provide a... More

We stayed at the 1860 House for a weekend in October. It was the perfect distance from the village; quiet on not on the main street, but within walking distance of most of the restaurants. It was also very close to the recreation path (which was beautiful in October!). Rose was a wonderful host, she event went so far as... More
