This hotel is dog-friendly and excellently located. The rate is amazing for Stowe. The owners are delightful, friendly, helpful. You can borrow bikes to ride along the river. The rooms are spacious, but have not been updated probably in 20 years. The sink did not drain well (but did eventually drain). Everything worked, heat, coffee maker. I think the biggest... More

I stayed in one of the motel rooms. It was adequate and clean. The property backs up to the river and the pathway to Stowe which is nice. Bikes on site for your use. Absolutely nothing wrong with the motel although it is older and dated. Owners are super friendly. It is a nice bike ride to town but otherwise... More

My room had 3 bed. When we opened the room, there was strong smell from carpet , hence we opened the door and window to circulate the air Room size was big. The accomodation was located at the back of the main building. Terrace was not really clean. The trash bin next to room door had corrosion, also the soap... More

Stayed two nights in a room with a shared bathroom. Very basic accommodation but clean and quiet. The hosts, Julian and Kay, make all the difference. They hosted an impromptu BBQ for their guests who watched the vintage car parade. They really go above and beyond.

The inn is very convienently located in Stowe, near many attractions and restaurants. We stayed in a room in the building at the back, which was very spacious. Although the interior was a bit dated, everything was in a perfect state. The owner is very friendly and had bikes available for free use. Breakfast was not included, but the room... More

I stayed at the inn for 2 nights and my cabin was clean, warm and well equipped with fridge, microwave, coffee maker and even a hairdryer. The location is superb; a trail passes close by taking you down to Stowe or up into beautiful countryside following the river. Kay and Julian are perfect hosts; leaving you to get on with... More

Our family stayed at the Inn during the long weekend in February. I checked many other places in the area on “booking.com” and “Tripadviser” and was about to change my mind about going to Stowe. All of them were very expensive and in need of improvement, but Riverside Inn saved our vacation - for our ski trip it was the... More

Stayed here for 2 nights in December 2013 as part of an organised tour. We didn't have the best journey to Stowe, so arrived relatively late in the day but it was great to walk in and find a massive fire roaring away. As we were a large group, we pretty much had the main part of the inn to... More

I took a group of travelers here for a few nights and Julian and Kay, the couple who owns the inn went so above and beyond for us. We were hanging around the living room and all of a sudden a karaoke machine comes out in Julian's arms for us to enjoy. We left a few items behind, without hesitation,... More

I stayed there a couple of nights last fall, while on business in the area, and it had all I needed and then some. I had a room in the motel section by the river, room was fine,Wi-fi was good, quiet and right behind the place is the footbridge going to the hiking trail over the river. I found it very pleasant to sit... More
