Do not stay here. Very dirty. When we complained to the front office, the woman working said that there has been many complaints and that she is not surprised. Also, the shuttle is too far to walk to with your skis and the pool and hot tub are dirty. Very disappointing. more

We are very sorry that these guests had an unpleasant experience. We try very hard to maintain our resort to high standards and we consistently receive very positive remarks related to the cleanliness of our facilities. I meet personally with guests who have problems to resolve them. I was not aware of these problems until I read the review and...

I spent the weekend at the mountainside resort with my boyfriend and we loved this place! The condo was spacious (bigger than our apt in brooklyn!), The porch looks out over hills and mountains and feels very private even though it's a condo. There is a pool, sauna and hot tub right next door which is great after skiing. The... more

For the last few years, we have teamed up with friends/families on a pre-Christmas ski trip. The last 2 years we have gone to Stowe. We come the day school lets out and leave the day after Christmas to avoid the crowds, and the skiing is leisurely and awesome. We have been renting houses or large condos, because eating out... more

Stayed in a 2 Bedroom 2 bath that cost $475. Billed as being much more than it was based on the pictures shown on the website. You did not know which room you were getting and to be honest it wasn't much better than a Quality Inn with the downside of no free breakfast. Way overpriced. We arrived late and... more

My husband and I stayed for a long weekend at Theater in the Woods, an apt name for one of the privately-owned condos at Mountainside. We felt relaxed and at home the minute we walked in the door! The master bedroom was very comfortable. Friends of ours - two couples - slept in the bedrooms at the end of the... more

Blah. That's the word to describe Mountainside Resort. It's a shame to stay somewhere like that, too, because Vermont is all about character. From the start I was surprised by how bad my impression of the place was. Other people in my family have stayed there many times throughout the last 10+ years and they never had problems. Maybe I'm... more

I know everyone thinks of Stowe for skiing, but we had a great time staying at the "Theater in the Woods" at the Mountainside Resort over Labor Day weekend. We had our then eight month old baby with us, and there were many activities to do with her. Stowe is very family friendly. Furthermore, the "Theater in the Woods" was... more

We spent a luxurious week at the Theatre in the Woods, Mountainside Resort in Stowe, Vermont. Loved it!!! Easy access to excellent restaurants and quaint shops - the views are breathtaking and the sightseeing out of this world! The condo owner has so many touches (personal decor; board games; books; videos) that it feels like home immediately. The gourmet kitchen... more

Four of us ( 2 parents and 2 30 yr old sons) stayed in a 3-bedroom condo in Unit G for 4 nights last week and were very pleased. Quite clean and everything (including gas fireplace) worked perfectly. With 3 of us over 6', we felt the whole place was a bit small but we were out most of the... more

Back in September we initiated a search for a family vacation in Vermont for the Christmas break. In addition to a great deal of web searches, we also put a significant amount of faith in these Tripadvisor reviews. Given that the reviews were generally more positive that the other comparable resorts in the area, we felt we had chosen well.... more
