From the moment Trevor met us at the door to help carry in all our luggage, to our final goodbye over a cup of coffee 4 days later, our stay at Honeywood could not have been more perfect. The rooms were large and comfortable, the food was great, the common areas well-appointed and conducive to conversation and relaxation. The hosts... More

I stayed here last weekend and could not be more impressed. The rooms were spacious, clean and very charming. The location is close to Stowe and I would recommend this place to anyone! The key to the door was stuck/frozen, but the owners were prompt in fixing it!

One of the most affordable options in Stowe and very close to the Mountain. The owner, Bill, also cooks a great breakfast. Also very close to the Matterhorn. What else do you want for the price? I just hear a lot of unnessecary whinning in the bad reviews.

We stayed at this property on October 4, one of the busiest times of the year. DISGUSTING! We paid almost $200 to stay one night at this place. Upon arrival, I went to the office and when I saw the filth in the office I began to fear what the room would be like. Unfortunately, my fears were confirmed. The... More

After the B&B we booked was filthy and we had to leave, the innkeeper told us he "found" us a room at a motel his "friends" owned. We knew it would be just as bad and it was. Outdated bathroom, tv, hard beds, spiders everywhere, a gas can outside rooms with no caps...tin foil. It's just lucky there wasn't a... More

Chased Out of the "Bears Lair Inn" is run & booked through the Honeywood Inn. Dispute of transaction on 3/7/2013 for $272.29 To Whom it may concern; On March 7th we arrived at the Inn about 8:45 PM after driving for 3hrs. We were planning on traveling to Stowe for a weekend at another hotel and had to find a room one day early to flee from Winter Storm Nemo. We ended up staying here in the Bear's Lair part of the property. The room was clean and the breakfast was good but those are the only positives I can say. The... More

We stayed here by default; we had driven up to northern Vt to look at the foliage without prebooking a room, and, as they were hard to come by, found one here open in their chalet with our trusty smartphone and as the price was reasonable, we took it. The owners run two lodgings here;.one is a small B &... More

This is a sixties or seventies style motel and is pretty tired with a sloping lumpy uncomfortable bed. However it was clean and the breakfast next door which was included in the price was excellent and the people were very pleasant . It is outside town in a pretty area not too far from Smugglers Notch which is lovely in... More

We stayed in the lodge which is actually a motor inn. The room was dark and dirty. We had to clean the spider webs off the door before entering. The screen door fell off when we tried to open it. The tiles were coming off the bathroom floor and sticking to our feet. The beds were very uncomfortable. The pool,... More
