We were a part of 6 and stayed in 2 rooms for 2 nights in October 2014. We had 1 value room in the back building with 1 double bed and 1 deluxe room in the main building with 2 queen beds. We were happy with both rooms. The deluxe room was much more updated and larger. The value room... More

Stayed here in October, thankfully only for 3 nights! We knew the room was "value" so we were not expecting luxury and just in case we were horrified, the owner reminded us at check-in that we had booked a value room. He proceeded to tell us what great value the hotel was in "leaf season". It was a horrible experience. Every... More

We were visiting stowe in late september for some hiking during the indian Summer. Our room was large and perfectly clean and the breakfast was amazing. However, what really made our stay here perfect was our host. First of all, we instantly received an upgrade on our room, and when we asked for some hiking tips to mt Mansfield, the... More

It was after a long drive when we finally got to the hotel. We were greeted and quickly checked in and even upgraded with no additional charges. The manager was kind and even called to reserve a table for us in a nearby restaurant (which was very good). The hotel offers a good hearty breakfast and even has a pool... More

We stayed here for 2 nights in October. Received a very warm welcome on arrival and the owners are really friendly and helpful. We also appreciated the warm cider and homemade cookies after our long journey. We hadn't realised there was a pool and hot tub, which was a huge bonus for us - and they had laundry facilities which... More

We stayed two nights here and will plan on returning when we come back to the Stowe area. We were given an upgrade at no additional charge which was a pleasant surprise and we were located right next to the pool. The pool was very clean and the perfect temperature, and we enjoyed the hot tub as well. Room was... More

We stayed in a room in the section in the back. It was very clean, and didn't have the musty smells that motels often do. It felt Vermonty with a duvet and quilts on the bed rather than the bedding one usually finds. I wish I'd brought my bathing suit to enjoy the sauna and hot tub, which looked inviting.... More

We stayed three days in the cheap rooms, out back. That part of the Lodge has all the charm of Section 8 housing. It kind of feels like the kind of place where long-term renters hang out ... estranged spouses, fugitives from justice and the like. But we were looking for cheap accommodations to serve as a base of operations.... More

Hello Geoff, Thank you for taking the time to review our Lodge. We are glad to read that you enjoyed your breakfast. We are sorry that the value room did not meet your expectations. We are very clear on our website and over the phone that these are our smallest most basic rooms, and we show very accurate photos on... More

The hotel was older but clean and well cared for. I loved the little efficiency apartment where we stayed in the back motel section facing the brook . The grounds were well tended and pleasant. The breakfast buffet was wonderful and the cookies and muffins etc were outstanding. There were always plenty of fresh home made cookies available in the... More
