This is a beautiful old historic ski lodge that my father stayed at about 50 years ago, so we booked it for sixteen of us. What a mistake. They tried to get us to book the whole lodge for a rate that was almost twice the sum of all of the rooms priced individually. Breakfast was sparse and unvarying (oatmeal...no raisins, eggs...one way). Dinner was about what you would get in a budget cafeteria. The showers trickle at best, and the proprietor snarled at our children. Much better options exist in Stowe.
