We stayed for 3 nights this weekend and really appreciated the "country inn" experience. The Butternut Inn has nice cozy rooms and I personally don't understand the bad reviews about the dirtiness or smell of the place, everything was OK for us. My husband & I recently stayed at the Butternut Inn in Stowe, VT for our last getaway before our first child. Upon arrival, we were a bit disappointed by the smell and overall condition of the inn. Very relaxing atmosphere. Rustic inn with a downstairs gameroom. We played pool and darts in the evening and explored the large inn. Wonderful, hearty breakfast in the morning! Very enjoyable. more

My wife, 2 year old daughter and i enjoyed our 2 night stay at Butternut Inn. It is cosy, comfortable and conveniently located. the hosts, Janis and Parker are warm, friendly people and gave us good advice on things to do in Stowe.
