I was heartbroken to read that this place would be closing. My girlfriend and I have been coming to Stowe for years and always look forward to dinner and drinks at Mr. Pickwicks, which we always save for the last night because it's the most special to us. My girlfriend is from Gosport, England and this little restaurant and pub... More

Stayed here with my wife in August 2013 and had a great time. The atmosphere is fantastic, the rooms are nice, great pool at the back and the staff are very friendly. The food in the restaurant is amazing. Can't wait to go back.

We were visiting New England for the Fall foliage and Stowe was recommended as a destination so we picked the Olde England Inne largely because of it's central location and the deal it was offering ($150 p/room including dinner). The interior is cosy and welcoming and we were immediately made to feel at home by the receptionist. The room was... More

I stayed at this hotel during a 3 day snowboarding trip. It's about 10 minutes drive from mount Stowe and much cheaper than hotels in the resort itself. Nice clean, very warm (important in the winter!) rooms, plenty of parking, warm "old England" style. Although for me, because spend most of the time on the slopes.

My husband and I booked a room at the Ye Olde England Inne for our anniversary. My husband is British so I thought it would be a nice place to stay. While checking in, we asked the owner directions to a restaurant where we had already made reservations for dinner. He seemed to be insulted and rudely said that we... More

Earlier this week my father and I decided to have dinner at the Inn and it was the worst experience we had during our stay. Our server was rude, unfriendly and completely lazy. The owner didn't seem to know how to handle the situation either. After eating a bowl of lukewarm soup and waiting for over an hour for our... More

Christmas 2013 was our third trip to Stowe and in the prior years we'd eat a meal at the Innes pub at least once and go for regular night caps - so we've become holiday regulars. The friendly staff remembered us from prior visits and warmly welcomed us back. This trip we stayed at Ye Olde England Inne and were... More

On our whirlwind tour of New England, we had 1 night to stay in Stowe. I came across Y.O.E.I. It is a very nice and comfortable place to stay when visiting Stowe. The staff very friendly and courteous. The rooms were small, quaint and comfortable as well. It was a great place to stay after a day in the snow... More

We did not stay at the Inne but went to visit some olde friends, staying there. We arrived early evening and decided that we would have a couple of drinks before dinner and what a great selection of beers on tap that they have, including some English beers. I was really looking forward to dinner and some real English meal... More
