Wow! This room had filthy carpet. The bedspread, flower wreath and picture hanging on the wall looked like they were from the 80's. None of the towels, bathmat, or shower curtain in the bathroom matched. They were all old as well. My husband, who is 6 ft. could hardly fit into the shower and turn around. The post know kept... The inn is a great place to stay: great breakfast, very friendly owner, comfortable mattresses and relaxing hot tub after long and cold day of skiing, good location in Stowe.. Definitely recommend to stay here!

The room was small, but the ambiance of an old inn in Vermont meant it didn't matter a bit. Randy was friendly, helped lug luggage upstairs and sent us to a fantastic pizza place nearby for wonderful dinner. But breakfast sent this stay over the top. So many choices, not just humdrum. Good job, Randy!

This inn is a lovely old place and close to wherever we wanted to go. Randy, the owner, was very friendly and directed us to restaurants and fun places to see. Our room was bright and clean. The breakfast was fantastic!

Imagine waking up, after an excellent night's sleep, in an area where the autumn (fall) leaves are all around you changing colours, knowing that you have the difficult choice from over twenty options, for a beautifully cooked large breakfast. And if you choose the suite with a hot tub/jacuzzi - well lucky you again. There was the odd light bulb... More

Stayed here several times, although years have passed since my last trip to Stowe. Disappointed, inn does not seem to be kept up; needs repairs, painting, rooms spruced up. Wrote my name in the dust on the dresser and shower could use a good scrubbing too. Beds and pillows were hard and uncomfortable. STOWE has become a very congested area---hard... More

This Bed and Breakfast is one of two Breakfast places we enjoy in Stowe. You don't have to stay at the hotel, though it is very nice, in order to enjoy the breakfast. Our favorites include the stuffed french toast, their delicious potatoes and Vermont Cheddar and Ham omelette. Their hand squeezed orange juice is just right, not tart. So... More

The Gables is a cozy inn right on Mountain Road and adjacent to the Stowe Recreational Path. As we had taken our bikes with us for the weekend, we easily accessed the bike path both for exercise and as the easiest way to get back into town while leaving the car parked. Check-in is at 3 pm. We were greeted... More

Our daughter gave us an overnight at the Gables Inn for our 55th anniversary. We were late in reserving so we got one of the last rooms. It was in the old house. It was certainly an adequate room & we were greeted warmly by the clerk at the desk. We enjoyed some delicous coffee cake in the parlor &... More
