We stayed at Edson Hill Manor for a wedding this past weekend. The sprawling bucolic grounds were breathtaking. I could have sat outside for hours just drinking in the view. The innkeeper was very polite and I'm glad to hear that he has taken over from the less-than-helpful man we made reservations with a few weeks ago. The breakfast was... More

We just had our wedding at Edson - what a magical experience. We had started planning about a year ago and had only visited the Manor twice. During the course of our planning the management changed which concerned us but the new manager, CARL, is really on top of it and made us feel like kings! The rooms were larger... More

We had a wonderful stay at Edson Hill Manor. It had just changed management so we had some trepidation, but what a change for the better was our experience. Carl was amazing. He was attentive, accommodating and very organized so all requests were fulfilled beautifully. The chef is excellent and we had wonderful breakfasts, dinner and even a good size... More

We stayed in a carriage house room for three nights with our extended family on the property for our nephew's wedding. There wasn't anything the Innkeeper, Carl, wouldn't do for us, from requests for wine bottle openers and hair dryers to special breakfasts. The wedding was lakeside and lovely, the staff couldn't have been more helpful, the food at the... More

I don't want anyone to think that this Inn isn't beautiful; it's beautiful; its serene, calming, charming, etc. The rating above has to do with a few key aspects that, not known prior to arriving made me not want to go back. As you can see, I like tv and I like having the internet and not even giving me... More

We stayed 5 nights with friends and x-country skied on local trails (including Catamount Trail), at Mt. Mansfield (Stowe) and Trapp x-country trails which are within close driving distance. The inn is well appointed and the innkeeper, Billy, was generous and very attentive to details. The living room is welcoming and charming, with real fires in the fireplace in the... More

This quiet, secluded inn is perfectly situated for the active x-country skiing or snow-shoeing family. With all the creature comforts one could need, we felt completely relaxed at this wooded retreat. Billy O'Neil, owner and proprietor, was very attentive and accommodating. Always a fire in the fireplace. Afternoon tea and cookies in the Manor. It was a very peaceful setting,... More

We stayed for 2 nights in a cottage room. When we booked, we confirmed the room rate and taxes. Unfortunately, they did not disclose a $40 per night additional fee, which was for "gratuity" on the nightly room rate! Odd because the only service we asked for was for a towel and blanket, which we never received. (The resort only... More

Edson Hill Manor's greatest advantage is probably its location: Off the main road yet close enough to skiing and restaurants. Many of the other inns were on the noisy main road(s), but Edson Hill is tucked back among rolling hills and woods. The setting is gorgeous. We stayed on the top (2nd) floor of one of the carriage houses and... More

Yet another delightful stay at Edson Hill Manor. Quiet, graceful and away from the holiday crowds is just what was on order for New Years. Staff and Bill are gracious hosts. Dinners were delicious. Bill takes pride in his wine cellar and guided us through selections. We look forward to our next stay, which we hope will be again this... More
