I am not an easy sell. Anyone with teenagers is going to be a bit edgy, but when we first turned into the entrance of Smugglers Notch Resort and saw kids outside playing basketball, tennis, hiking, kickball and swimming, even in the torrential rain of this summer, we were impressed. Great supervision, clean, well designed...just an enjoyable place. I highly... more

I was nervous about our stay at Smuggs given some mixed reviews here- I almost changed our vacation at the last second ! We are SO happy we did not. My wife and I , as well as our 4 children ( 9, 7, 6, 2 ) stayed here the week after July 4th in Kestrel 18 ( 3 bedroom... more

Our family got together for a week in July 2009 at Smugglers Notch resort. The accommodations (condo units) were good and the staff was friendly, but otherwise it did not live up to our expectations. The rental is costly to begin with, and then they nickel and dime you for everything. Children's activities, supposedly included in the price, mostly cost... more

We stayed in the new North Hill Community - Owls. We highly recommend this building - we booked a 2 bedroom and were given a 3 bedroom. It was a fabulous layout and massive - loads of room for our family of four (children ages 3 and 5). My only complaint - the cheap construction....unbelievable noise from the unit above... more

Any review of Smugglers really involves two distinct aspects - the activities and the facilities. We have vacationed around the world and I cannot think of any resort we have been to that focuses their efforts on organized kids activities like Smugglers. Our two children (aged 7 and 10) were in camps from 10am - 4pm every day. The kids... more

It is Friday morning, the 6th day of our summer vacation. We are having so much fun. We live in Florida, so it has been wonderful to escape the southern heat and relax in the incredible Vermont climate. The mornngs and nights are in the 50's and the days are in the 70's. Acustomed to luxury resorts, we were looking... more

We booked for Easter week. We got a 3 bd 2 ba in the Eagles. They allowed us to check in early (3:15p) and directed to our unit. The first thing I noticed was the pool that was directly accross from our unit was closed. then the staff was telling us mulitple times not to touch the halls and door... more

Just got back from Smugglers Notch, accomodations were at Evergreen which is a great location next to the kids magic carpet and terrain park. Great ski camp for the kids, we had all three in for three days and they enjoyed it. This resort is in desperate need of more lift capacity. The existing trails are too narrow to accomodate... more

I just returned from a trip to Smugglers Notch. Not good. We stayed in Norland...it was like camping. The stairs leading in were made of wood and in need of major repair. My Husband slipped and fell twice carrying in our luggage. It was a huge process to unpack. There were about 40 stairs and 2 sets of stairs to... more

This was our second ski vacation to smuggler's with two children ages 3 and 5. This year we stayed 7nights in the North Hill Community at the Tamaracks - I highly recommend upgrading to the premium units which are newer and cleaner. They also have access to the indoor water park with slides and splash areas for the little ones... more
