Booked the Fairbanks Inn for our trip from NY to VT for Dog Mountain. We showed up with 7 dogs and were welcomed with open arms! the staff was very accommodating, polite and super efficient. The room was large and immaculate, with a good layout. The pet rooms are on the first floor for convenience, leading out to a large... More

Hotel is easy to get to from I-91. Easy drive/to from Lyndon State College. Rooms are spacious and comfortable. Everything in the room works nicely. King size beds are comfortable. The staff is very very friendly.

We stayed at the Fairbanks Inn when we dropped our daughter off at St. Johnsbury Academy in the fall of 2014. We stayed in a room on the upper floor and found the room to be clean and plenty spacious for the three of us. The room had a balcony with a nice view overlooking the lovely grounds in the... More

Thank you for taking the time to review the Fairbanks Inn. Thank you for your lovely words. The private balconies overlooking our over sized court yard is a treat. We love our four legged guests and absolutely love watching them play outside. The Fairbanks is the perfect location for families visiting the St. Johnsbury Academy. You can literally walk right... Overall we had an OK stay at the Fairbanks Motel. Nothing more than a Motel room that is clean and above average in size. A month after staying I got my credit card bill and noticed they had "mistakenly" charged me for 3 nights when I only stayed 2. When I called to inquire the woman who answered the phone... More

Thank you for your review. I apologize for the mix up for your reservation. I will use this experience as a valuable training session. Thank you for... More

We have stayed at the Fairbanks a number of times. Each time there were some minor issues that were usually taken care of. This was not one of those times. We stay in a dog friendly room each time. This time our dog would not stop sniffing around that room (103). Improper cleaning? I don't know. The heater was extremely... More

Stayed here while attending "First Night" celebrations in St Johnsbury. They had a special New Year rate which was appreciated. Very close to where we had parked to attend the various events so no long drive at midnight. Staff was busy with checking in and checking out folks but did an okay job. Room was very large, beds very good... More

Thank you for your lovely review. I am so glad you took part of the First night special. It is such a wonderful event. I personally come back to the inn every year to watch the fireworks from the office balcony. Of course each room has their own private balcony to watch the wonderful and beautiful fireworks that get set... More

The Fairbanks Inn is close to town but very quiet. The room was pleasant and spacious, and it had a big balcony with a pretty view of the river. The staff was efficient and friendly. A great place to stay - I recommend it for your next trip to Saint Johnsbury.

Our family has stayed at the Fairbanks in a number of times over the years. Clean, comfortable, quiet....but this was Small Town, USA. So, why charge everyone football rates ??......especially when we were there for my son's funeral and burial.....coming.from a family of many generations in Boonville and Pilot Grove.

thank you for leaving a review on tripadvisor. I am deeply sorry for the loss of your son. While yes we are "small town usa" the rates are generally a bit higher during fall foliage. I am happy you felt comfortable while staying in one of our rooms. I hope you choose to stay with us again the next time... More

Fall Foliage at it's finest. Conveniently located on historic Route 2. Our room was spacious, comfortable with that charming New England feel. Complete with it's own private balcony with river and foliage views, even from the amazing jacuzzi tub! Very restful and quiet after a long day of leaf peeping. Great Vermont coffee to start the next.
