I arrived in the cold winter evening to this house. Maureen, the owner was very nice. She welcomed us really warm. She showed us around the property, the living room, dining room, family/library room, and of course our room, The Nook. We choose The Nook, because it is the only room that has twin beds. The mattress, pillows, and linens... More

We visited St. Johnsbury with the intention of spending two nights at Estabrook House. The owner, who as others have stated, is welcoming, offers good information, is kind and flexible without being intrusive. Oh did I mention she is a wonderful healthful cook, serving home baked bread with breakfast? We cut our time short by one day and Maurine graciously... More

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights, charming and wonderful stay. Owner extremely helpful and friendly, superb breakfasts, tea, coffee available 24/7. The hotel Has a history and I'd currently being restored room by room by the owner, provides an excellent base to explore Vermont, we highly recommend this hotel in Saint Johnsbury, you won't be disappointed. This place is like staying at your own home. Maurine, the owner, was beyond friendly and so hospitable. Breakfast was all homemade (even the bread). The room was decorated beautifully and the sharing bathroom was spotless. She had two lovely cats, and I loved playing with them. Yes, the floors squeaked, but it did not disturb me at all. And... As some of the reviews indicate Maurinne, the hostess, is the best this feature of the B&B. She is welcoming, friendly and very knowledgeable about the area. If we were to return here it would be because of her. The house was once modestly grand. Several of the public rooms have been restored but much is left to be done.... More

Stayed at Estabrook House B&B over reunion weekend, which, unlike Memorial Day Weekend for another reviewer, was hot and thunderstorm-filled. Maurine welcomed not only my husband and me, but also additional family members to enjoy the porch with wine and cheese we had brought. Very comfortable and Maurine is a gracious hostess. Breakfast was delicious! Will stay again.

Stayed at Estabrook over Memorial Day weekend, (which was cold and rainy) but this house was so comfortable with the electric fire places going and the warm, fluffy comforters on the beds. Maurine has almost single handedly turned this beautiful "wedding cake" like victorian (which was separate apartments when she bought it) back into one big beautiful home for others... More

This house was built in the early 19th century and has a large garden and is in a quiet residential area. There is a great second floor enclosed balcony that was a wonderful place to relax with coffee, We had a comfortable second floor bedroom with a private bath and a view of the gardens and village. Breakfast was generous... More

My wife and I spent Memorial Day weekend with Maureen at her beautiful Bed and Breakfast. She has done a fantastic job of restoring this old Queen Anne home and does an even BETTER job of immediately making you feel at home. Our room had a comfortable queen sized bed with a clean and quaint bathroom. Across the hall was... More

My husband and I stayed overnight in this lovely old home turned inn. Very comfortable room, nice shower (I love those "rain" shower heads), delicious breakfast, gracious host. A bit tricky to find as it is in an historic district that doesn't allow signs. Look for the green house with pink and cream trim, big porch on the front, the... More
