This hotel is situated in a lovely quaint and quiet street with easy access off the highway. What attracted me to this hotel was the history it carried because it claimed a ghost lived there and it was located just a few miles before the Canadian border.

When we arrived we were met by Travis who was looking after the hotel for his mother who was away. He welcomed us and made us feel like we were at home immediately he showed us around and we met his brother who was a professional chef who let us taste his food before eating it in the dinning room.

We wanted to find the local store and Travis gladly showed us where it was whilst taking the dog for a walk. The village it is situated in is an old railway town, very quiet but picturesque.

The rooms in the hotel all had their own names and themes (as shown on the website) we stayed in the Atwood room which was tastefully decorated with a huge comfy bed, a big oak old fire place with lots of candles surrounding... more
