When our 25th anniversary plans fell through due to flooding and forest fires in our chosen destinations, we fell back to an impromptu trip to upstate New York and the Niagara Falls area. We found Antique Mansion entirely by accident and loved it for the last night of our trip. Room was spacious and comfortable, food was delicious and Sally... More

My husband and I visited the Antique Mansion during the first week in October. We were welcomed graciously by Sallie, the proprietor, who gave us a tour of her lovely home before settling us into our equally lovely accommodations. We were upstairs in a huge room with excellent views and everything we needed for our comfort. Breakfasts varied from day... More

Wonderful little B&B in Rutland, Vermont. Beautiful setting in a lovely environment. Room was spacious and clean and homemade breakfast was excellent. Sally, the owner went out of her way to make us feel at home. Would definitely stay again when visiting that part of the country.

We took a long trip to see the fall colors and stayed in this lovely, stately home. The location was ideal for day trips and short hikes and seeing the sites. Our host, Sallie, was gracious and a great resource for surrounding attractions. The food was excellent and the home was comfortable and beautifully maintained, filled with history and comfortable... Lovely, old stately manor with a long history. Location was perfect - out of town enough to feel rural but close enough to everything. Very quiet, lovely area, beautifully kept grounds. Delicious breakfast daily, and she changes it up. She was very attentive to personal details (I don't like ice in my water, for example). I felt welcomed and spoiled... More

Thanks for your great review! We love getting business travelers because they often stay more than one or two nights and we get to know their preferences, just as they get more and more comfortable with the Mansion. Glad you found the location convenient for your work and meetings...would love to see you again! -Sallie More

My husband and a golfing buddy recently played in a tournament at the Rutland Country Club and the four of us had the opportunity to stay at the Antique Mansion. The guys have stayed in the past but it was the wives first time. From the moment I met Sally, it was like we had been friends forever. Our morning... More

Thanks for your wonderful review! One of the best aspects of operating a B&B is getting to see returning guests, whether every year at the same time, or when circumstances permit. I always enjoy the golfers as they share stories at the breakfast table...glad the wives really enjoyed themselves too! Thanks and we look forward to seeing you next year. More

We were four relatives who stayed here for a cousins trip to Vermont. We took three of the four rooms, which made the house a great setting for our reunion. Sallie was a wonderful host, very helpful as we planned our visit, and very friendly and accommodating but never intrusive during our stay with her. She asked each day what... More

Thanks for your complimentary review. I have always thought that one of the best uses of this historic home is to have a family group here. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay and used the living room as well as your bedroom suites; thank you also for inviting your cousins! More

My husband stayed here while playing in a golf tournament in Rutland. He said the location was very convenient and the breakfast was fantastic. The rooms were also nice for the price. We would definitely stay here again in the future.

My wife and I while driving to a NH family reunion decided to do something special for our anniversary and picked this B&B. From the moment we were greeted at the door by the owner Sally until we said our goodbyes the following morning we were treated as if we were a long time family member. During the registration process... More

Sallie and her husband Larry are big supporters of the Vermont Symphony, and they helped on our summer tour by housing three of us in from out of town. Our stay was comfortable, and we felt welcomed just as any paying guest would. The rooms and beds are extremely comfortable and attractive, and breakfast was fabulous both days.
