As the other reviewers pointed out, the historic Hapton Inn is one of the places you feel lucky to have discovered, situated in a very scenic part of Vermont, run by really nice and friendly people and really resonably priced. We greatly enjoyed our two-night stay, the homey little room and the traditional, hearty breakfasts (skilfully and creatively cooked by... More

My wife and I spent a night at Scotty's historic Huntington B&B in central Vermont. The room cost was very reasonable for 2 twin beds. The home has beautiful antiques and has been updated with enough modern touches to keep everyone comfortable. The beds & linens are quality and baths spotless. This Inn has a wonderful dining room, bar area... More

In the middle of planning our hiking trip in the Green Mountains, we found the Huntington House Inn on tripadvisor and decided to give it a try - and we were not disappointed! The inn is located on the quiet side of the bucolic town common with a gazebo, benches and mountain views. Check-in is only available from 4pm to... More

The Inn is lovely with a park across the street. It has a dining room and bar which is a plus after a long days drive. Our room was very nice, clean and comfortable. We had dinner which was very good and a full breakfast was included the next morning. They are so hospitable and friendly there. Rochester is a... More

We stayed here for a night at the beginning of October, and had a great stay. The area was still showing a few signs of the hurricane damage so we feared the worse when driving in. However Huntingdon House was a lovely place. We had a few pints of Switchback in their bar while watching the baseball before eating a... More

Definitely do not stay here on a TUESDAY, as the restaurant and bar are both shut. At the time of the booking no mention was said about this, and places on offer were miles away. Owner was indifferent to our plight, nor was he concerned when the wifi didnot work in our room. Although there were only two other couples... More

We arrived in Rochester looking for a place to stay for the night (June 2011), and serendipity found us at the Huntington House. The owners were very friendly, down to earth and accommodating. The whole town is laid back and nestled amongst great biking and hiking. Such a great stay, we decided to stay put for a second night. We... More

We stayed at the Huntington House Inn by chance. Forced by Hurricane Irene to seek emergency shelter, we decided that Rochester was as far as we could go before the storm worsened. This happened to be an extremely precise bit of chance, as the bridges north and south of town were washed out within an hour of our checking in.... More

We stayed here for 2 nights one weekend last October when we were climbing Camel's Hump; one of the only places that had last-minute availability for peak foliage season, though I'm not sure why: it's awesome! One of the only rooms left was a 2 twin room, but we made-do and pushed the beds together the first night, and moved... More

We booked the Huntington House for two nights on the recommendation of a friend with a summer home in the area. We wanted to explore the area and didn't want to afford the B&Bs in Woodstock. When we arrived, we found that the inn had been recently sold and the new owner was basically scrambling to get up to speed.... More
