My husband and I stayed here recently while traveling through Vermont on vacation. We loved everything about this place: the historic (and comfortable) rooms and grounds, the welcoming and friendly staff (hi Scott and Bob!), the food, the cute little Rochester town and surrounds (beautiful scenic drives throughout the area and good hiking opportunities), and the overall rural Vermont feel.... My partner and I booked this place last minute when we decided to escape from New York for a "fall foliage" drive through the northeast. We stayed in room 2 which was bright and spacious. The hotel was charming and well maintained. The staff was extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming. The apples off the local tree and the homemade donuts... More

We stayed here with our bike tour in September and it was very nice. Old inn, nicely restored interior, good pub and restaurant, decent breakfasts and very comfortable rooms. Ours was a queen bed with great linens and the bathroom was large and had fluffy towels. I would stay here again. Rochester is a wonderful if quiet little town. I... More

I would highly recommend to anyone to stay at the Huntington House! The food is excellent!! The rooms are beautiful and very comfortable. We've stayed in one of the suites a few times, which is equipped with anything you would need, the only problem is, you just don't want to leave!! The owners and all of the staff are so... More

I have eaten at the Huntington House many times and (being a retired and very critical chef) have always found the food to be excellent! The owners and staff are friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere is excellent, warm and welcoming. I have also stayed here as well and the rooms are spacious, comfortable and well appointed. If you are in... More

We really enjoyed our dinner there recently. It has a bit of a romantic atmosphere in the small back dining room. We went early enough that it was not busy. We did not stay at the inn as we live within 15 miles. The staff is very friendly, attentive, but not intrusive. The food was great! They had changed the... More

Stayed at this Inn for 2 nights. When I checked in they upgraded me for no extra cost simply because they had a room available. The room was very spacious and clean. The breakfast was good and the owners were very friendly and helpful. Would recommend this place to anyone staying in the area

As the other reviewers pointed out, the historic Hapton Inn is one of the places you feel lucky to have discovered, situated in a very scenic part of Vermont, run by really nice and friendly people and really resonably priced. We greatly enjoyed our two-night stay, the homey little room and the traditional, hearty breakfasts (skilfully and creatively cooked by... More

My wife and I spent a night at Scotty's historic Huntington B&B in central Vermont. The room cost was very reasonable for 2 twin beds. The home has beautiful antiques and has been updated with enough modern touches to keep everyone comfortable. The beds & linens are quality and baths spotless. This Inn has a wonderful dining room, bar area... More

In the middle of planning our hiking trip in the Green Mountains, we found the Huntington House Inn on tripadvisor and decided to give it a try - and we were not disappointed! The inn is located on the quiet side of the bucolic town common with a gazebo, benches and mountain views. Check-in is only available from 4pm to... More
