Bailey's Mills B & B is an excellent way to experience Vermont. We like to stay there and we live in VT! Barbara is an great hostess, serves up extraordinary breakfasts, and will do everything she can to make your stay memorable. And the Mill itself is a truly amazing structure, a veritable first rate historical museum, although one that... More

We've been visiting Bailey's Mills for many years, as it's become an annual tradition each summer. We come for the peace and quiet, the beautiful and historic surroundings, tasty breakfasts, and the warm hospitality. This is an ideal place for couples or family. We've done both weekend and week-long vacations. I endorse the many excellent ratings below.

We have been visiting Bailey's Mills B&B since our eldest daughter (now 18) was a toddler. Each year, this slice of heaven pulls us back for a visit. A fascinating house (a former mill/general store/dance hall) with a warm and wonderful host (Barbara Thaeder) and fantastic breakfasts makes for a magical place. The property is a wonderful place to relax,... More

Barbara is a wonderful hostess. She is kind, helpful, and a very interesting woman. We enjoyed staying at Bailey's very much. The path that starts at the house is beautiful and the perfect walk. The house is next to a stream, providing the serene music of rushing water. The house is cozy and elegant, the library full of books and... More

My new wife and I started our honeymoon in Vermont by staying 2 nights at Baileys Mills. We have nothing but good things to say about the house and our hostess, Barbara. Her breakfasts were exceeded only by her hospitality. Barbara took us on a 2 hour or so hike thru the hills that was wonderful. She told us the... More

A group of 7 of us stayed at this amazing and interesting property. We had the whole place to ourselves and felt as if we were at home. Barbara is a delightful hostess. Nothing was too much foible odor her and she was able to give us interesting information about her home and the area. The rooms are all well... More

Barbara at Bailey's Mills B&B is the perfect hostess. She is welcoming and warm as a hostess. Her place is beautiful and very well appointed. As a large group we rented the entire house and were very comfortably accommodated. Woodstock the nearby town is very cute and well worth a look. Great breakfast and a very warm welcome.

We've been here many times. The scenery beautiful, the food is sublime -- order up what you like for breakfast, its all good. And Barbara the host is one of the friendly, interesting and accommodating hosts you will ever meet. The rooms are cozy and comfortable without being stuffy. And if you like to read -- Barbara has an enormous... More

Off the beaten track of the main tourist destinations, but absolutely perfect for us on our honeymoon. As an older couple who like the outdoors and the depths of the countryside, this was a piece of heaven. A historic house set in its own grounds, with swimpond and frogpond. Quiet, yes - well, the neighbours sure are. See photos! Our... More

This place was excactly what a Bed & Breakfast should be: filled with history, antiques, books, delicious breakfast, pet friendly, gracious hostess. We hope to return in the future! Juan, Lourdes, and Bella
