This upset me so much that I rated the place poor This is a lovely place to stay BUT I feel I must report that the bathrooms have no space. The end of the toilet seat is about 12 inches from the sink - just imagine that. And you have to leave the door open to bend over the sink.... More

We are truly sorry that you found the bathroom in your room too small during your last stay, and that the bed creaked. Fixing the bed would have been easy had we known there was a problem. The bed frame is of Colonial design with bolt and barrel connections. We could have simply tightened the connecting bolts with a screwdriver... More

We stayed at the Ranney-Crawford House last weekend. The room was lovely. Large, nice linens and they had a very comfortable trundle bed for our son. The breakfast was delicious and the host & hostess very nice. My only comment is the bathroom is small in Elijah's room. If you are a big person ask for a different room. Otherwise... More

Excellent place to stay, beautiful and very clean. The people who run this house are very interesting nice people. They attended to every detail. The breakfast was fantastic! Would definitely recommend this B&B to everyone. Thank you, Diana Kirkpatrick

Friendly hosts, beautiful house, great bed, delicious and customized breakfast, lovely location-- what more could we ask for? Our only regret is not having more time. Definitely will return-- hope to take advantage of the cycling opportunities next time.

My wife and I stayed here during Landmark College orientation last week. Diane and Arnie were very gracious and made us feel at home...and their home is another one of those historic Vermont mansions - wow! Our room was comfortable and warm, and breakfast the next day was great. We happened to be the only guests on a weekday, so... More

A lovely and delightful spot to spend a getaway night with 4 friends. The home is beautiful, historic Vermont and very comfortable rooms without the unnecessary bric-a-brac often found in b&b's. A glowing fire, cookies, tea and coffee greeted us upon arrival served by the very hospitable owners Arnie and Diane. A quiet, comfortable night was followed by a sumptuous... More

I recently had reason to travel to Putney, VT for an art opening. So where the heck is Putney, VT, I asked? kind of near Brattleboro, but a quaint little community spread out off exit 4 of the highway, US route 91. Since it was a two hour drive from where I live, I wanted to stay overnight, and it... More

When we woke it was 5º outside, but inside the Ranney-Crawford B&B we were cozy - wrapped in Diane and Arnie's wonderful hospitality. The setting is gorgeous, the historic house and furnishings are lovely and well-appointed (very comfortable beds, well-stocked bookcase for borrowing; coffee, tea and homemade cookies at any hour). And the breakfasts...! Delicious cooking and homemade baking; friendly... More

This lovely B and B had amazing Breakfast that was so good we didn't need to eat until dinner. We stayed 5 nights and we'll stay again as soon as we can. Diane and Arnie were such lovely hosts and amazing cooks. Every night we would come back and find fresh backed cookies and brownies to munch on. We loved... More

Spent two nights and added a third because the stay was so enjoyable. The rooms were clean and quiet, breakfasts truly delicious, cycling advice helpful, and conversation friendly. It felt like staying with terrific relatives. Arnie and Diane clearly delight in what they do, and they're good at it!
