Every New Year’s my husband and I travel to Vermont exploring different bed and breakfasts in different parts of the state. For this New Year’s my husband chose the Golden Stage Inn. We stayed for 3 nights (Dec. 31-Jan. 3) in Cornelia’s Room. Cornelia’s Room is the first room to the right when you get to the top of the... More

The Golden Stage Inn hit all the right marks for what we were looking for. We stayed in the Otis Room (#2) which had a beautifully renovated bathroom with a jacuzzi tub and heated floor. The room also had a nice fireplace. This room is at the top of the stairs, so you do hear more foot traffic than you... More

Innkeepers Mike and Julie are two of the nicest people you can meet! This was my wife and I's first adventure at a bed and breakfast and it was awesome. Being "younger" (I, 31 and my wife, 27) we always thought of a B&B as something for older people. Our naive-ness made us think of B&Bs as forced social community... More

This was the very first time we have ever been to a Bed and Breakfast. My wife and I had heard from friends about the Golden Stage Inn, and we decided to spend our honeymoon there. The owners Julie and Mike were the most gracious hosts we have ever encountered. We stayed in the Cornelia Room for the week. I... More

This was our first time visiting the area and skiing Okemo. Although the snow conditions this year have not been the greatest, Okemo did a great job at making snow and providing the best optimal conditions given the tough conditions. We managed to have a blast. We stayed in the Cavendish Suite which was perfect for a family of 4... More

We spent two nights here over Christmas and it was truly a great stay. We researched a lot of places in the area and are very pleased we chose Golden Stage. There are many things that elevate this B&B to a 5-star rating. The breakfasts (one of the deciding factors in selecting Golden Stage) were exquisite. The attention to detail... More

The Golden Stage Inn is a great place to stay for a ski trip. We stayed the night before skiing at Okemo. The service and food were great! Such a cool place! The owners were very friendly and we really enjoying the games and activities that they had. We will definitely stay here again on our next ski trip.

What a nice place to recharge from the every day. Very relaxing with the spa tub , fire place, and comfortable bed . Owners were excellent and we enjoyed the breakfast that was prepared for us . That alone was reason enough to stay here.

Our visit was part of a two week foliage drive and the Golden Stage was the last of six B&Bs and Inns which we visited. This was flat out the best. The inn has been beautifully decorated and there are wonderful antiques throughout. Our room, while not large, was larger than those at some of the others and was very... More

Julie and Mike are the perfect innkeepers. They attend to every detail of cleanliness and amenities, along with providing a wonderful breakfast, mostly cooked by Mike. I purchased some of Julie's honey to take home. I love going on the road less travelled, so Julie's expertise led me to drive up Okemo Mountain, visit Crowley Cheese, and see current maple... More
