Made my reservation thru ABV Inn website, and eventually cancelled it same way more than 1 week before scheduled arrival. I received cancellation notice, but ABV Inn Pownal charged my credit card for one night anyway. Then the fun began. I made 5+ long distance phone calls to attempt to resolve the problem, but each time the person answering the... more

This motel is basic, but clean (and that's always the most important thing to me). Considering the price we paid for a weekend night -- $80 -- and the price other 1-star motels in nearby (overpriced) Williamstown were quoting me -- $170-230 -- this motel was a steal. We stayed here so my husband could do a training run up... more

Mt family and friends all stayed here on September 21 and 22, 2007. We came in for a wedding so 20 rooms were held for us. Our rooms were very nice and clean and the beds very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and the housekeepers helped us decorate the room for the bride and groom and put gift bags... more

We booked this motel for two nights in Feb. 2007 as there was nothing else available close to Williams College due to a NESCAC tournament. For the low price we did not expect much, but this motel does not meet even the minimum levels of cleanliness and functionality. The furniture was covered with a film of something (furniture polish?) to... more

With summer on full I enjoyed my 3 days stay in this Vermont motel. I loved the pool, as it was clean and clear. There was no doubt about the cleanliness. Three cheers to the owners for maintaining such a good facility motel so well. The staff is really helpful. The best part was I reached so late in night... more

I stayed at this motel in September. My room was really comfortable, the staff very friendly, and price was very affordable. Good value for the money. I would recommend this motel. more

This motel is a typical mom-and-pop one-story, drive-up motel, that has definitely seen better days. Our "superior double" room, had worn furnishings, which included the furniture, drapes, and mattresses which were not at all comfortable. The foam-backing on the front window curtains was so worn that to view them when the sun shone was like viewing stars in a planetarium,... more

If you reserve online, make sure you bring your confirmation. I arrived late at night, after reserving on a travel website. The owner charged me about $30 per night over what I was quoted online ($80 vs $50) and could not find a reservation for me. The next day after speaking with a receptionist, she informed me the rate was... more
