My husband and I were looking for a secluded resort where we could relax and at the same time enjoy many of our favorite activities. We feel fortunate to have found Hawk on the advice of friends who have stayed there. We swam both indoors and outdoors, exercised in the well equipped fitness room and kayaked on the beautiful lake,... more

This is not a hotel, and certainly not a resort, but a motel and not a very good one. For a room and breakfast, they charge $310 per night and I'm kind of embarrassed to admit that we paid that much for this little. It isn't worth half that. By no stretch is it any kind of resort. There are... more

This is a charming, somewhat old looking inn with lots of Vermont atmosphere and set in a beautiful place near a creek and with lots of green space around it. The inside is not new and sparkly like a Marriott but it's still very well kept and I think the oldness adds to the charm. For example there's wood paneling... more

Location is excellent-We were there for the autumn scenery, so it was excellent in that regard. I thought the room was on par with an upgraded motel. Floor had parts in my room which sagged when I walked over them (I am 130 lbs for the record)-Buildings had a weird configueration. Staff was friendly-Service at the restaurant was a little... more

We were married at the Hawk in June 2008. I can't say enough of how wonderful, down to earth and accomodating the staff at the Hawk are. While searching for a place to be married in VT, we came across many properties that had this wedding package or that wedding package. The Hawk had none of that. They asked us... more

We -- two adults, one 12 year old -- just returned from a brief three-day, two-night getaway at Hawk Inn... we had a great summer visit here a few years ago, but never in winter. We had a fabulous time, despite subzero weather conditions. We booked one of two one-bedroom suites (small separate bedroom, wet bar and fridge, spacious living... more

Over 25 years ago, I spotted a small, simple ad in the NY Times Magazine for a place promising beauty, privacy, and excellence. And indeed, that's what I found. I and my family have been going here almost annually since, and the resort never fails to please. It is well maintained, low key but upscale. Ideally situated by both Okemo... more

This resort has been around for a while but it is well maintained. The furnishings are getting a bit dated but none the less well cared for. We enjoyed our stay and thought the food was particularly good in the restaurant. The breakfasts were the best! The only real issues we had were that whle they say they have WIFI... more

I usually stay in Vermont during the winter for skiing of coarse, however this past weekend we went up and stayed at Hawk. This resort is one of Vermont's best kept secrets! It's considered "slow" season in Vermont but that is why my husband, my two and half year-old and I decided to venture up that way for some peace... more

I have visited Hawk with my husband and four children many times over the years, usually in the winter. It is one of our favorite places in the world. "Privacy is the ultimate luxury" is the Hawk slogan and it fits. Hawk is rustic and lovely...the essence of Vermont. It offers many types of rooms right at the Inn, townhomes... more
