Our room was in the older section of the inn and, to be fair, it dates back over 100 years but there is an expectation of certain necessities in this day and age. Our room faced main street and the room was heated by one large steam radiator. The heat was either too hot or too cold and it was... More

Any review of our Inn that falls below excellent does get our attention and we always are open to suggestions for improvement. We have just completed an energy audit to make next winter not only better in terms of heating our rooms but more efficient. It’s no secret that this has been the coldest winter in recent memory and we... More

The Dining Room at the Norwich inn is not listed separately as a restaurant, which it should be as it is the flagship of this popular inn on the main street of this quaint Vermont town, just across the Connecticut River from Hanover, New Hampshire. The Ale House at the Inn is separate;y listed, but is not the subject of... More

I loved going here it was fun. It was the most funniest hotel I've been to in a while. I can't wait to go again. My boyfriend LOVED it! He said it was amazing. That's when he asked me to marry him! Love!

Even a 10-story Hilton can be called an Inn these days, but the Norwich Inn is more nearly the real thing. The first floor of the 1890 building houses a restaurant and bar, and a pleasant front room with fireplace. The two upper floors are divided into 17 guest rooms of various shapes. Our room was on the small side,... More

We needed a place we could take our dog. We stayed in the Ivy House very comfortable with a fire place. Bowl and towel for our dog and a green area outside to give her a run. The only thing I would would be tea and coffee equipment in the rooms. The inn is a walk away and it was... More

We stayed in the Walker annex behind the original inn. Apparently most rooms are not in the old inn, but the new additions. Room was very nice, but hall getting there, dingy and dreary. We stayed 2 nights, and dinner in the bar the 1st night; was noisy, and food was satisfying, but not exceptional. The breakfasts, and the breakfast... More

The Norwich Inn's location is perfect: you're in the center of a small, beautiful, and thriving New England village, and just a few minutes' drive (or bike ride) from Hanover and Dartmouth. The original inn is comfortable and cozy, with lots of good places to sit and relax, and our room in the Walker House--a few seconds' walk across the... More

My fiance and I loved the inn, it was clean, provided friendly service except for the bartender, this guy is what I would call a little snitty. (sorry we are not your local favorites) Bar him, the rest of the staff was more than friendly and we found it easily with availability without a prior reservation. Yes it is a... More

I stayed one night at the inn on late October 2013. The staff was incredibly friendly. My room was very small, I knew this when I made the reservation. That said, the bathroom was more like a closet, a tiny closet. For this trip, I was glad I was on my own. I can not imagine sharing the space with... More

We highly recommend a stay at the Norwich Inn in Norwich Vermont. We stopped there in October of 2013 for a short foliage trip. We found the Victorian style main house to be everything we could want (there are other buildings that we did not go inside.) The rooms were charming, comfortable and well maintained, although the bathroom was a... More
