We stayed 1 night in a room on the second floor. Lots of room and the view was great! We didn't have reservations and just stopped by to see if she had any availability. We were so lucky she did. Our evening was great. The hostess, Agalia, is a lovely lady. She has many stories to tell and some are... More

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! It was falsely represented, dusty rundown and over charged. We were attending Graduation at Norwich University.Hotels were full in the area were full so we opted for the Northfield Inn, another one of my mistakes! The place is old, rundown and dusty.Perfect for allergies. No wonder they want to sell it. We were offered a two room suite... More

We went up there last month for a funeral, where my 23yr old nephew had passed away. A tree fell on him in Roxbury Vt. So we were all very upset. The place could not have been more beautiful. The rooms are were like something you would see in house and garden. Each room had a beautiful decor and the... More

The Northfield Inn in Vermont is a Victorian treasure with a breathtaking view. The owner Agalia is a lovely lady with 2 adorable dogs and she aims to please. We were there for a weekend stay to drop our oldest son off at College down the hill at Norwich University. The Inn was full as many families were there for... More

In a place that's usually just a drive-through a wonderful gem can be found at The Northfield Inn. Perched on a hill over-looking a beautiful valley, the hills came alive with changing colors as we watched. Greeted by our hostesses' two dogs and then by Aglaia, she wisked us inside just in time for the five o'clock wine hour. What... More

My husband and I stayed here for 5 nights to celebrate our 20th anniversary. It was wonderful. Agalia the owner is always ready to please and is so kind. Debbie who helps out with breakfast is oh so sweet. Not a day goes by that hugs aren't given. It was our first time in a B&B. I think we are... More

We spent two nights here and Aglaia was the perfect hostess. The place is a collectors dream. Our room on the second floor was very cozy, clean and comfortable. The bathroom has a great shower. She has several types of wine out for her guests in the evening and breakfast was first rate as was her assistant Debbie. This a... More

The Northfield Inn is a round peg in a square hole & that is what makes it so special. We kicked back, relaxed, and enjoyed the hospitality of the proprietor, who sat and had a glass of wine and some snacks with us. Other guests came and went, and real conversation was the order of the day. It was old... More

Our experience at the Northfield Inn occured during a difficult time for my family. Aglaia was kind and motherly, affording us every comfort and understanding. We were able to choose our own rooms and she was very generous toward us during our stay. The house is beautiful and well kept. Staying there is more like staying at the home of... More

Our son was at an overnight visit at nearby Norwich University and we found the Northfield Inn through the university website. For some unknown reason there was little traffic that Friday and we arrived in Northfield earlier than we expected. It was 1pm and check-in wasn't until 3pm but we went by to see if our room was ready hoping... More
