I have stayed at this motel several times, but in June I woke up to a bed bug next to my face on the pillow. I couldn't get out of the motel fast enough. We stayed in Room 32 on the first floor. The beds were very uncomfortable and we could hear the people above us walking on the floor.... more

The room we stayed in, 72, altho the least expensive room they had, was stunningly clean and well equipped. Brand new bed spread, soft and fluffy pillows, ironing board and iron, hair dryer, bright white towels, soft sheets, huge tv, stylish and brand new curtains I could have sworn came from the company called Country Curtains which were a perfect... more

Best motel Ive stayed at in a while. Excellent staff, beautiful pool, and a very clean room. Remodeled rooms and new higher end bedding (not the usuall spring matress crap). The hot tub was excellent, I only wish the jets worked. more

This is the 3rd or 4th time we've stayed at the Newport, as an overnighter en route to the coast. We really like it here; not fancy, but has everything you would want, including breakfast and internet included. Easy access; lots of amenities; reasonable price. Happy! more

I had stayed at this motel several years ago for business. As I was in the area again on business I decided to stay at the Newport City. Much to my surprise this little motel had been very nicely remodeled. The bathroom was tiled with a new vanity, tub and toilet. The bed was new and very comfortable. Nice clean... more

We needed a hotel near Derby, VT for the TNA Pro Wresting event in town, and, i found this hotel to be inexpensive and for a good price. I booked via the website, but, after calling 2 weeks after, they never got my reservation, so i booked over the phone. Small town and a small hotel. Staff was very friendly.... more

Stayed here Feb 9-11, 2007 in Room #25. When I confirmed my reservation on Feb 8th, I asked about the pool and hot tub. They said "yes we do have a pool and hot tub, however, the hot tub jets haven't been working for years." You'd think they'd specify that on their website. We specifically chose this place over the... more

We got to Newport for the first time in late July this year and we couldn't handle the terrible smell of poo everywhere we went. The town just smelled horrible! A lot of the people in the town smell of BO also. Newport seems to be recently restored. It "looks" nice but doesn't have a very cozy "feel" Thankfully, the... more

Motel is very close to the Canadian border. This was a clean, but old fashioned motel. No elevator to the 2nd floor. Wallpaper that matched the ironing board cover. Thin sheets and towels. It was relatively quiet. The room was no bargain, but it was a convenient location right off the freeway. Excellent cafe a few doors down called the... more

My family stayed here for two nights recently. The motel is right in town, but not on the lake. Our room was small but clean. The bed was not that great, hard and lumpy and my feet stuck over the end of what was supposedly a full size bed, and I am 5'6". I have never had that happen to... more
