Welcoming, good value, owner so friendly and gracious, fire lit on a chilly afternoon, hot tub, rail trail behind the house where you can walk to Lost Nation brewery, chickens out back. Great place, absolutely no complaints.

We arrived late afternoon, tired after a long winding drive along the roads of south Vermont to receive a very warm welcome from Sheila with the offer of drinks and refreshments. Shown the fridge with beers and the wine and cookies in the lounge, we were welcome to "help ourselves" to whatever. And so it was through the length of... More

The house is beautiful, but still comfortable. Sheila is a fantastic host. She had cheese and crackers for us when we arrived, and offered beer and wine, which is just perfect after a long drive. The rooms are immaculate, and the bed was very comfortable. The inn is enviornmentally friendly. Breakfasts are massive and delicious, so come hungry. We really... More

Sheila has found the perfect balance, being a gracious, helpful, and cheerful inn-keeper while allowing guests space and privacy. I stayed at the Inn with 2 friends while biking in northern VT. The rooms and beds are extremely comfortable. An excellent breakfast cook, Sheila is eager to cater to her guests dietary requests. The oatmeal I requested on my second... More

You gals are an inspiration! I admire your get-up-and-go energy and adventurous spirit. Thank you for choosing to stay with me as it was truly my pleasure to serve you. I installed another full bath in an upstairs room and a 1/2 bath in the library downstairs. Come see the improvements. Same time next year? : ) More

My boyfriend, Aaron, and I stayed with Sheila at the Thistledown Inn in Morrisville this past weekend and I am still enamored with my experience there. Walking in from a grey, rainy afternoon I could not have been more delighted at the atmosphere there. We were welcomed with a warm fireplace, chocolates, beer, wine, pleasant music, comfortable couches; all to... More

This is the second time we have stayed here and it is just fabulous. I do not usually like B&B's but this one is special. Half of the rooms have their own private baths and most have fireplaces as well. There is an indoor hot tub and a cozy living room to hang out in. The breakfast is delicious. Coffee,... More

We were greeted by Sheila in arrival, who had a blazing fire to welcome us on a cold afternoon. Crackers and cheese were served in front of the fire as an afternoon snack. Our adult son had decided to join us at the last minute and Sheila set up an air mattress in her office for him, as the rest... More

You, your family, and friends were such a delight to serve. Thank you for staying with me during the Craftsbury Nordic ski races. I just returned from the nordic center; I had my first skate ski lesson- thanks for the inspiration! I mailed your son's belt and sunglasses left behind in the twin thistle guest room. See you next year! More

It's a bit boring to give this place another 5 star review but what else can you do when it really is excellent. Externally, the house looks comparatively modest but internally it is beautifully furnished and equipped. Sheila is made for this business - a charming host who has thought of just about everything to make your stay perfect. Delightful... More
