My wife and I stayed here while visiting our son. Betsy actually has 2 Victorian style houses, located side by side. They are older but well maintained, comfortable homes. Our room was large enough and had an adjoining den and kitchen for shared use. (We were the only ones using it during our stay). It's a great location for walking... More

Betsy's is located within walking distance to downtown Montpelier. We enjoyed being able to take walks downtown during a nice colorful and warm fall season. Close to restaurants, shopping and historical sites. Rooms are spacious, breakfast was delicious and we had fun meeting other guests each morning to discuss adventures. Betsy has a wealth of local knowledge and was very... More

We spent the night at Betsy's after a day of driving and touring Vermont. Our GPS took us to the wrong address but we quickly found it. Betsy didn't have a reservation for us, even though I had made one online. She did have my name as an "inquiry" though so we had no problem with getting a room. The... More

Our first impression of this B&B was "Hey, that's really nice and cosy": Our room was spaceous, the bed comfy, and the private bathroom mostly okay (except of some mold around the tub/shower). Minus 1 for: The breakfast was small portioned, just some scrambled eggs, one plain toast and two small sausages. Nobody checked back if we maybe want some... More

Montpelier is a great little town in the center of Vermont. Coming over Smuggler's Notch, through Stowe and down in Montpelier made a fine ride during warm summer days. This Victorian style B&B was the perfect rest stop..clean, quiet, affordable with a beautiful Victorian four-poster to rest those biker legs...breakfast was yummy and filled us up before we hit the... We booked for four nights following a stay in the south of Vermont. We had read good reviews about Betsy's on a couple of guide books. Our room was fine with a comfy bed, clean towels and plenty of drawers and wardrobe space. Being from England we missed the facility to make hot drinks in our room and the kitchen... More

I Loved the house beautiful it did need some up grades but still beautiful. It was a shame that when we arrived after driving along ways there was no one at the house to greet us, felt weird being in someone's house when no one was there. In the Morning there were 2 housekeepers that greeted us. One lady was... More

I think of B&B's as a treat- a step up from a motel with more personel touches, not just old. We were greeted very indifferently, not offered any suggestions for sightseeing or dinner, then sent next door with 2 keys to figure out where to use them. We were to share a very tired kitchen and living room, but opted... More

We stayed at Betsy's for almost 2 weeks this past February and it was very welcoming. We had our own bathroom with a tub and a shared kitchenette and living space. Betsy's is actually 3 separate Victorians, all right next to each other. The one featured in most of the pictures is the main building and there is one additional... More

We visited and had an excellent time. The room was beautifully decorated and the bathroom was clean and modern. The bed was so comfortable, it was hard to get up - but a delicious breakfast called our names. Nearby was the State Capitol & we enjoyed the tour available. Our hosts and staff were very accomodating and gracious. And the... More
