No door knob on the bathroom door, which was okay, as the door could not close anyway. The main door also did not fit the door jamb - you could see light through it. Reasonably clean, but very worn out. Peeling wallpaper, dents on the woodwork and so on. Two light bulbs in the bathroom, on a light bar that... more

If there was a zero rating, this place would have the honors. It is terrible, just terrible. Firstly, the website lies, there is no breakfast, no complimentary coffee, no restaurant on premise. The room itself is super outdated, carpet looks as though it has never been cleaned. Towels are so thin, there was actual holes in them. Seriously. I went... more

was sent here because the nearby Hillside Inn could not give us a different room (air conditioner was broken and the hotel was overbooked due to graduation and other things going on) Same owner for both hotels Place looks terrible - people were living there - one door was open and room was in total disarray! Key that was given... more

Apparently, this property used to be an EconoLodge. I happened upon it because I used my car's navigation system to search for hotels in Montpelier. We were given an encoded room key which failed to open the room door. We went back to the front desk three times before they figured out that the battery in the lock was dead.... more

It's not the cleanist or the most accomodating hotel, but there's not much choice in Montpelier. It's an affordable alternative to the alternative- Inn at Montpelier. The bathrooms were clean- and although small, it has an elevator. The staff was very friendly to me. It's old and has it's quirks, but it's better than paying 2X the amount at the... more

In all honesty, this "motel" surpassed my worst exceptations. The carpet looks to have never been cleaned. The owners are obviously unconcerned. Some of the dimest lights I have ever witnessed, are provided for your reading pleasure. You are better off spending the night in your car or wandering the streets. more

I booked a 10-day stay online, thinking it would be comparable to other Econolodges. I was very, very wrong. Unfortunately, once I got there, I was stuck because all other hotels were booked. *Please* trust the other reviews--this hotel is so bad, it's scary. At check-in, the owner smelled heavily of Jack Daniels, though he swears he was just sleeping.... more
