As a Director of Sales of a high end Vermont hotel myself, I feel compelled to write my first personal review on this site. I have read some of the other reviews and find myself asking if they stayed at the same hotel that I did! Everything went as well as it could possibly have gone. We checked in early... More

Everything was just ok. Despite our requesting early checkin, they had no record of it in their system and made no effort to get us in before 3pm even though they could see we had a four-year-old who was obviously tired. The clerks at the desk weren't very well-trained and had a bit of an attitude. The hotel is old... More

Thank you for your honest opinion of our Hotel. We appreciate your feedback. I sincerely apologize for the lack of understanding on our part in meeting your needs. Had Management known there was an issue, we would have stepped up and made certain that a room would have been available prior to check-in time. Our staff strives for excellent customer... More

This was a miserable experience compared to our past experiences at this hotel. The smell upon walking into the building was overpowering, and it got moreso by the time we reached our room. They must have just cleaned the carpets, PLUS they had started using strongly-scented laundry detergent, and I was incredibly uncomfortable. I put my 4month-old down to sleep... More

Thank you for your honest review. We appreciate your feedback. I wish I knew when you stayed with us and what room(s) we put you into. Please call me directly to discuss as the issues you faced could be a combination of the pollen in the air, scents from our new rooms or a new sheet smell issue. Our Housekeepers... More

We stayed at Comfort Inn three times during the early and mid-summer of 2010. After our first experience, we would have stayed at another hotel but the options are few in the Montpelier area and the arrangements were made by our employers. We found our room clean and spacious, more than acceptable in every way. We noticed no dubious looking... More

Thank you so much for reviewing our location. We appreciate your feedback and your business. Your comment about folks requesting to be on the main floor is a great one to make. Unfortunately, our hotel was built without an elevator. BUT we are always here to help with your luggage and will make every effort to accomodate your needs. Please... More

I don't know where the others reporting here stayed, but our room was clean, had high speed internet, was easily accessible from the car, coffee in the room, a solid, reliable chain hotel for an overnight stay at only $112.50 including breakfast. I'd stay there again. The only problem we encountered was finding it...our GPS had us all around the... More

I stay here on business several nights per month, however this hotel has become a truck stop and the clientele is going down with the down economy. I have seen very shady individuals and it is making me very scared to stay here time and again. Parking lot also is very dark and feels unsafe. I guess it is a... More

Our first time to Montpelier and next time we'll look a little closer at Hotels before we rent. We stayed at Comfort Inn Maplewood and should have known when walking in the door that the Hotel was going to be the pits. The lobby looked like it hadn't been cleaned very well in quite some time and the desk clerk... More

Standard-hotel with friendly staff. Our room type : 2 queen-size beds and 1 play pen. Breakfast : muffins, donuts, toast, cornflakes, fresh fruit, coffee, tea and orange juice. Decent and well taken care of. Places to eat nearby : there’s an Applebee’s next to the hotel. Parking space : more than enough, without surcharge. Computer : PC with free internet... More

While the photos of this hotel appear to be really nice, they are misleading. This place really sucked when we spent a night there. Problem is there are so few places to choose from in and around Montpelier. The rooms seem somehow eerie and not very inviting. Just looking at the room made us immediately check for bedbugs but we... More

We did a stay at this hotel in September with all the kids along and while we were happy with the people that were at the front desk, we did not like the hotel in general. It was obviously built many years ago and the wear and tear sure show. The rooms need to be fixed up a bit and... More
