Requested a room change and they even carried my suitcase for me. We were very happy with this service and location of this hotel. The room was clean and appointed well. The resturant was the best we have experienced yet. They had all fresh food and the presentation was excellent. I had the strawberry cake. Yummy and had been written... More

We pulled into Montpelier at the last minute and was fortunate to get a room at the Capitol Plaza. We liked it so much that the next morning we asked if another night was available. The friendly desk clerk worked on it for a while and found one that we could move into right away that was just down the... More

Easy to find and greeted in a friendly, and professional manner. Front Desk person was very helpful and gave us hints about where to go what to do. Our room was clean and nice, Colonial king but even with AAA rate the value is just OK for the room. We went out to dinner and when we returned parking was... More

We booked a room here as final-night stopover after a driving trip from Boston to Quebec City, so that we wouldn't be driving a full day with two kids under the age of 3. We were disappointed in our stay for one very specific reason - the left side of the hotel faces a church whose bells toll 24 hours... More

We arrived tired and hungry after a day exploring the Eastern Townships of Quebec. We were greeted by a very friendly and efficient desk clerk, Valerie, who couldn't do enough for us. Although it was a Saturday night and the hotel clerk said they were almost fully booked, we were able to get their last colonial queen (would have preferred... More

I just want to say that this place is charming. Their waitstaff for meals were exceptional and Steve? (I think that was his name) has an incredible staff for meals. I was also very impressed by a young girl that was at the front desk. Her name was Rylee and I think she said she had just started a couple... More

The Capitol Plaza is well placed, right in the middle of Montpelier. Our room was large and spotlessly clean. J Morgan's serves great breakfasts and evening meals. People eat early in Montpelier, so get your reservation in quickly if you want to eat around 7pm. All of this, together with very helpful staff and easy parking, made for an enjoyable... More

You can't beat the location, and there isn't much to choose from in this small city, but glad we got in on this fully booked night. We returned late on a Friday (11pm) and was surprised how dark and shut down the lobby was - but there was a desk clerk on duty. Beds were comfy. Rooms very large and... More

While we did not have reservations, the woman at the desk was more than accommodating in booking a room for us. She was very friendly and apparently loved her job. The room was very nice, and being a tall guy, the shower was wonderful. Only drawback was the small elevator. Even though we were there for only one night, we... More

The hotel is an easy walk to anywhere in this fun city! Good WiFi, free parking and very friendly staff! The hotel is right across from a movie theater and walking distance to many really fun shops and restaurants.
