We stopped in with family for dinner and real enjoyed the warm atmosphere, good food and good service. The local brew was great and the crab cakes really tasty. Worth stopping in. Food was reasonably priced.

Best value in town for brunch, hands down, no doubt! The wait staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The brunch is outstanding and I'm not a huge fan of brunch. Don't miss the Bloodymary Bar!!! Mmm-mmm gah!!!

My wife and I had dinner at the Blank Lantern Inn for the second time last Saturday evening. We were not that hungry so we opted for a soup each and a salad and flat bread. The soup was fantastic and really had the feel of fall. The Beet, blue cheese and pecan salad was really good and the accompanying... More

I stayed here over labor day weekend in 2014 for a friend's wedding. The location was quaint. The rooms were average and dated, but the breakfast was yummy! The staff was very accommodating and friendly. We had regular breakfast on Saturday and then the Sunday brunch feast. They were making homemade eggs Benedict and had the best sausage we'd ever... We stayed here with other friends for a wedding. The food is amazing and the staff were very friendly. We were a bit disappointed in the room which was small and very dusty (but otherwise clean). We'd definitely stay again - just would pick a different room.

We love bed and breakfasts, but this one was a bit different. We never met the owners and were greeted with a taped welcome to the door with our key. It's a cool old building....from 1803...which we love. But just eerie that we were alone with no other contact. They warned us that we would get no breakfast and they... More

This was our second time at this wonderful inn that is under new ownership and management. Our room was great and decorated in antique period which was a perfect fit for this heritage property. The inn has two buildings and this time we stayed in the Burdett House which is quite private. We had wonderful breakfasts which were embellished with... More

We read online that the conditions for Jay Peak were excellent for Easter weekend and were excited about the weekend as we had not been to Jay in 5 years. We wanted to stay in Montgomery because we have memories of a decent night life there at the Snow shoe Inn and we really like Belfry's Restaurant. The Black Lantern... More

I stayed here for Valentine's Day weekend with my boyfriend in the Bernadette Suite 5, which is in a separate house from the main Inn. We chose to stay here rather than at one of the Jay Peak hotels as it was about the same price and this seemed more private. The Inn is still within a short drive of... More

Just stayed one night at The Black Lantern Inn prior to skiing at Jay Peak. What a wonderful place. A terrific Irish bar complete with Guinness and a host of other beers and Irish wiskeys. The restaurant was very cozy and first class and the food was wonderful. The rooms are quaint and you feel like you're in a B&B... More
