Everything about the Inn is great, except the bedroom. The good: -really pretty, quiet setting with nice landscaping, set against a wooded hillside -competent and pleasant staff -very good hot breakfast with real food and lots of options -a big, unique building that's cozy without being cramped -a decent family restaurant on site -separate pub which is kind of old-fashioned... I visited the Waybury Inn with my elderly father this month. I had driven about 1 hour to get to the restaurant and found out they only served dinner starting at 4pm on the weekdays. My dad had really wanted to go to the inn because he remembered the Bob Newhart show and wanted to experience where they filmed the... More

Very accommodating - late arrivals, late return, etc. - comfortable, cozy, clean room. Wonderfully quiet night. A great getaway spot with a nice pub and restaurant. Off season rates are a great deal (we were visiting in April).

From the moment we walked in, everything was perfect. We were promptly greeted by front desk, and checked into 'Room 9 - the Robert Frost Suite' - if you are going to stay here, stay in the room (Google it, it is pretty awesome)! We went into town for a couple hours before returning for dinner, where we had steaks... More

Stayed at the Waybury Inn on business trip because of the discounted room rate for the time of year. We stayed in the Densmore Room which was described as "Cozy". Room was very small but very comfortable and clean. The bathroom was the same. We had dinner at the attached Pub and the staff and food were the best. Every... More

I first stayed at the Waybury Inn six years ago and on my most recent visit, I found it to be just as comfortable and welcoming as before. The Inn offers 13 different, charming rooms, free wifi, but rooms do not have television. My room (The New England Room) was described as cozy, and as a solo guest, it was... More

Came here as part of a bicycle tour. I must say that the owner and staff were incredibly accommodating to our group. The innkeeper gave us a history about the place. The staff had fresh baked cookies out for us everyday at 3. The rooms were fine. A bit kitsch. Sound proofing, hot water availability, modern amenities what one should... More

Drove 3 and a half hours plus to have a nice getaway for the fall...get there at 2 to see if perhaps the room was ready and was barked at by the what I found out to be, the OWNER, who didn't say hello, welcome but jilted out "Check in is at three" and walked away. We were pretty deflated... More

THe Inn is ok, staff not very friendly. Would be nice to have tea and coffee available thru out the day. The room is ok, rug is old. Noisy as we were in room 1 and you heard everybody coming and going, especially a woman who dragged her suitcase down 14 steps at 6:45am. The guests above our room walking... More

The Waybury Inn has an incredible history and the building has been kept up very well. We especially enjoyed the Pub for dinner as it's a friendly place with nice ambience. We've stayed at over 40 B & Bs over the years and had high expectations for this Inn, mostly because of the advertising and price. Most of the Inns... More
