My family stayed at this inn for a few days while waiting for our new home. The Inn has a good reputation in town but I had to experience it myself. Although, a pleasure to look at outside, this Inn needs to be updated and in places, renovated. Old, crappy furniture, worn carpets, scratched floors, dingy walls. Service was nice... More

My husband and I stayed for several days at the Middlebury Inn located in Middlebury, Vermont. The room was clean, and had a lovely old world ambience. The only problem was that we could hear the people in the next room quite clearly when we went into our lavatory. On a happier note, the people who worked at the inn... More

One of the oldest inns in the country with modern amenities. Our room was large and lovely furnished with antiques as well as a large flat screen TV and small refrigerator. The breakfast room and dining room/lounge were both spacious and comfy. The front porch was a very nice addition. We had dinner on the porch on a Sunday night... More

This historic inn, strategically located in the heart of Middlebury, Vermont, close to the Green Mountains and the Adirondack, offers a very special experience with its antique decor, labyrinth-type corridors, spacious breakfast lounge, romantic front porch and an amazing century-old elevator, operated manually by hotel staff. Well worth the ride. Our deluxe room was well refurbished and comfortable. Buffet breakfast... More

Spent the Labour Day weekend exploring the quaint town of Middlebury in the heart of Vermont countryside. What a beautiful spot. The Inn dates back to the early 1800's and makes you feel that you are part of all it's grandeur! Large spacious rooms and an amazing huge sitting room where afternoon tea was served daily. We dined at the... More

Yes it's older. Yes the rooms, retrofitted with modern amenities, are a little disjointed because of it. But I would much rather stay in a place like this than most of the newer, always-smelling-of-chlorine, people boxes. It has charm and it has a friendly staff and it has a great location. We also had a terrific meal in the dining... More

My wife and I stayed here for a night while travelling. This is a hotel from another era but the rooms have been updated nicely. The restaurant on site is very nice and the food selections were about perfect from our perspective. Pricing was reasonable all around.

Perhaps I had expected too much from this historic inn in a historic city. We stayed in a courtyard annex room. It did have two large beds, a couch, a desk, but the room seemed too small for all this furniture and there was hardly room to walk. However, please accept my caveat here that there were four of us... More

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying 2 nights at the Middlebury inn. The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. We stayed in a courtyard annex room. It had two beds, a large tv, a couch, a desk, a refrigerator, a nice size bathroom, a closet, an ironing board, and a blow dryer. Extra pillows inside... More

On an Adventure Cycling tour 14 of us spent two nights. From our afternoon refreshments on the porch to breakfast in the dinning room we had a great time. The rooms are old, well kept and very roomy with great bathrooms And our end of group dinner was outstanding This is a very bike friendly location, With a locked storage... More
