My wife and I stayed here for a night while travelling. This is a hotel from another era but the rooms have been updated nicely. The restaurant on site is very nice and the food selections were about perfect from our perspective. Pricing was reasonable all around.

Perhaps I had expected too much from this historic inn in a historic city. We stayed in a courtyard annex room. It did have two large beds, a couch, a desk, but the room seemed too small for all this furniture and there was hardly room to walk. However, please accept my caveat here that there were four of us... More

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying 2 nights at the Middlebury inn. The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. We stayed in a courtyard annex room. It had two beds, a large tv, a couch, a desk, a refrigerator, a nice size bathroom, a closet, an ironing board, and a blow dryer. Extra pillows inside... More

On an Adventure Cycling tour 14 of us spent two nights. From our afternoon refreshments on the porch to breakfast in the dinning room we had a great time. The rooms are old, well kept and very roomy with great bathrooms And our end of group dinner was outstanding This is a very bike friendly location, With a locked storage... More

The hotel is very centrally located in Middlebury, with good parking. From the exterior, it's a classic brick Federal, with nice lines and proportions. We stayed in the main house (room 232) for one night. Front desk service was efficient, friendly and helpful. The room itself was clean and reasonably spacious, and even had a small walk-in closet. Certain aspects... More

A beautiful historic hotel in a beautiful situation in the centre of Middlebury. I cannot think of anything negative to say about it other than I wish I had booked a couple of days longer as it was absolutely perfect. We were located in the main house (room 239) and for an old hotel I was expecting squeaky and old... More

If you love Historic Hotels like I do, then you will also love the Middlebury Inn! Everything is well maintained from the antique Otis Elevator to the furnishings and decor. After a scenic drive through the beautiful VT countryside we arrived at the Inn just in time for Afternoon Tea on the porch. We were greeted by the friendly welcoming... More

I've read several reviews about the Inn before purchasing a Living Social voucher. It was worth the discounted rate for the 1 night stay. The Inn is tastefully decorated, a bit dated but clean with very helpful staff. There was a bit of confusion at check in that was promptly taken care of by the manager on duty. A wonderful... More

This is the third time we have stayed at the Middlebury Inn, although a bit pricey, once again we were left satisfied with our experience there. The inn enjoys a good location, convenient to the quaint center, several good restaurants and shops. The breakfast buffet is well endowed with fruits, a bit of granola, standard eggs and bacon and tasty... More

Since one of our children attended the nearby college, we have stayed at the Inn about a dozen times, and I am finally getting around to writing about it. In all the times we have visited, there has never been a single problem or slip-up on the Inn's part. The staff are all friendly and attentive, and all act as... More
