The Barnstead Inn is a friendly and Inviting place to stay. The Inn itself is beautiful and rustic. The owners Cindy and Neil are extremly friendly and make you feel right at home. The inn is right near the center of Manchester so the shopping is a hop skip and a jump away! A short walk to some of the... More

The Barnstead Inn is an amazing experience! The grounds are gorgeous and the owners are simply wonderful! We truly enjoyed ourselves at the Inn and cannot wait to return. We checked in, got a restaurant recommendation and, upon our return, discovered the owners had made a fire for the guests outside the brick oven cottage. Our children had a blast... More

We stayed in the most incredible room/suite I have ever been in. The fire was going and the beautiful stone floors were covered with area rugs to warm our feet. Homey yet modern bathroom and bar accomodated our every need. It was the coziest, most beautiful & homey room I have ever been in. MEMORABLE to say the least.

If you want a fast paced, busy, impersonal getaway, DON'T go to The Barnstead Inn. Cindy and Neil are awesome! They make you feel like at home...The place is beautiful, all season long (the summer, especially, because the place is covered in flowers). The rooms are perfect! They have character and are super clean. If you want to do some... More

Stayed at the Barnstead Inn for New Years Eve, 2012. The property was in impeccable shape and the owners of the inn were very friendly and accomodating. The Inn is very close to the center of town where all the outlets are located. Each room has a cool theme associated with it. We stayed in "the lodge". The room was... More

I have been staying at the Barnstead Inn for many years. Neil & Cindy are great hosts and very nice people. For the overal value, It's my favorite place to stay when going up to Stratton. We've tried few of the rooms at different price points and like them all. It's also close to the food and attractions of downtown... More

Each October we vacation at the Barnstead Inn in Manchester, VT to celebrate our anniversary. The fall foliage sets the landscape and Cindy and Neil are the perfect hosts. The rooms are rustic and relaxing with great amenities lending itself to the total New England experience. There are awesome hiking trails a short distance from the inn in every direction... More

Our get-away weekends are most often spent in the Manchester, Vermont area. Without question our preference for accommodations is the Barnstead Inn, just about a mile north of Maim Street (and the famous Northshire Bookstore) on Route 30. Convenience of location, nicely appointed "New Englandy" rooms, and delightful hosts. And the rates are very reasonable

I have stayed at the Barnstead Inn twice and would happily stay there again. The innkeepers are a pleasure to speak with and very attentive. They provided extra towels on request and helped me open bottles of wine (forgot the corkscrew, again). Because the ceilings are a little low in the room/suite I stayed in, I couldn't quite tell what... More

The Barnstead Inn is a beautiful inn right in the heart of Manchester, within walking distance of the town's shops and restaurants, yet set back from it all in a quiet setting which features a pretty stream and pond on the property (complete with gazebo, dock, and other quitessential Vermont features like a handmade wooden swing). The rooms are always... More
