We needed a place to stay in the Manchester area at the last minute. The Barnstead happened to be having a special on remaing available rooms for that weekend. We stayed in one of their suites for a very great price. The innkeepers were really nice and very accommodating. They even brought in a pack and play crib for our... More

We had a wonderful stay at The Barnstead Inn this past weekend. The hosts upgraded us to their largest suite at the last minute due to a cancellation, which was unexpected and very kind! The suite was cozy, just the way you picture it should be in Vermont in the winter time! It was also very clean and quiet. So... More

My husband and I recently spent time there, and we both wished we could have stayed longer! But due to our schedules it wasn't possible. When I had looked it up online, and I saw the rooms, I knew it was a place for us.When we got there and went to our room- the first words out of our mouths was... More

Recently I had to travel for business to Southern Vermont. As it was my first time in this neck of the woods, I had no idea where I might find lodging for a few nights. One of the locals who work for my parent company stirred me surprisingly enough away from the local resort hotel. She said she wanted me... More

The Barnstead Inn is a friendly and Inviting place to stay. The Inn itself is beautiful and rustic. The owners Cindy and Neil are extremly friendly and make you feel right at home. The inn is right near the center of Manchester so the shopping is a hop skip and a jump away! A short walk to some of the... More

The Barnstead Inn is an amazing experience! The grounds are gorgeous and the owners are simply wonderful! We truly enjoyed ourselves at the Inn and cannot wait to return. We checked in, got a restaurant recommendation and, upon our return, discovered the owners had made a fire for the guests outside the brick oven cottage. Our children had a blast... More

We stayed in the most incredible room/suite I have ever been in. The fire was going and the beautiful stone floors were covered with area rugs to warm our feet. Homey yet modern bathroom and bar accomodated our every need. It was the coziest, most beautiful & homey room I have ever been in. MEMORABLE to say the least. More

If you want a fast paced, busy, impersonal getaway, DON'T go to The Barnstead Inn. Cindy and Neil are awesome! They make you feel like at home...The place is beautiful, all season long (the summer, especially, because the place is covered in flowers). The rooms are perfect! They have character and are super clean. If you want to do some... More

Stayed at the Barnstead Inn for New Years Eve, 2012. The property was in impeccable shape and the owners of the inn were very friendly and accomodating. The Inn is very close to the center of town where all the outlets are located. Each room has a cool theme associated with it. We stayed in "the lodge". The room was... More

I have been staying at the Barnstead Inn for many years. Neil & Cindy are great hosts and very nice people. For the overal value, It's my favorite place to stay when going up to Stratton. We've tried few of the rooms at different price points and like them all. It's also close to the food and attractions of downtown... More
