We just completed another great ski weekend at the North Shire Lodge & Pub . Arrived Friday and enjoyed a pleasant evening of conversation with Tim and Kerry in the pub. The rooms now have new flat screen HD TV's with DVD players . Of course the spacious rooms are as clean and comfortable as ever. Because of some rain... More

We stayed at the North Shire Lodge again this week. I can't say enough about this place. As far as what you get for your money this is the best place to stay in the area hands down. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are spotless with HD widescreen TVs as an added plus. To top that off they... More

This was my second time at North Shire over New Years Eve weekend (we came last year as well). Not to beat a dead horse, but Tim and Kerry are wonderful hosts. They are so warm and accomodating, you definitely get the feeling that you are a guest in their homes. The rooms are very cozy and I love that... More

I guess my expectations were a little too high, given the wild reviews this place gets. The location is nice, although you must drive pretty much everywhere. In winter, there really aren't common areas other than the pub. The rooms are simple although reasonably clean. The breakfast was very good on some days and ok on others. You get one... More

Thank you so much for your review, we definitely enjoyed having the 5 of you stay with us in rooms 14 and 15 over the New Year’s Holiday. We’ve never actually had a room rate of $150 per night (yet), not even during our busiest season. Your room rate was $129 per night. Most folks find that is quite a... More

This was our second stay at The North Shire Lodge, and it definitely won't be our last. My wife and I found everything to be "Above and beyond" expectations. We don't eat large breakfasts, so Kerry suggested english muffins to bring back to our room. One evening we ordered from the pub menu, and found the food to be excellent... More

Thank you for your kind review! We truly enjoyed having you stay with us again and look forward to next time. New Years Eve was quite a busy time in our Pub, and we think everyone enjoyed their evening. Anybody out there thinking of eating in our Pub next New Years Eve, be sure to reserve early! More

I have nothing negative to say about this place. However, if you want to stay in "downtown" Manchester and pay top dollar do not stay here. In the UK we have a phrase "it does what is says on the tin" and the North Shire does it expertly. Rooms are spacious and clean, huge beds and loads of hot water... More

Thank you so much for your comments. It is amazing that you thought your meal with us during foliage season was the best of your 2 week holiday. Our meals are a great value, and available only to our lodging guests, so we are happy that you enjoyed it! More

We have stayed here a few times, the last visit two years ago, and always found our stay to be first rate. But the impossible has been done -- Kerry and Tim have made it even better. The complimentary hot breakfasts are delicious, and it was wonderful to chat with them and enjoy the food and spectacular view. The wireless... More

The folks at the North Shire consistently provide a clean comfortable rooom on a maginificent piece of property. Yes, you can spend a lot more in Manchester for accomidations, but nothing has a better dollar/cost value. More
