My wife & I were looking for a 3 night getaway after Christmas and somehow came across the Battenkill Inn. This just proves that sometimes people just get lucky. From the moment we walked through the entrance door I could sense that this place was special. Each passing moment validated this belief. Judy was as accommodating as anyone I've ever... More

My husband and I stayed over an October fall weekend in this delightful B&B. The location - close to the beautiful village of Manchester - and close to all the scenery that this beautiful part of Vermont has to offer was excellent! We thoroughly enjoyed the spectacular fall foliage, sitting on the back porch of our room. The breakfasts were... More

My husband and I signed up for an Orvis 2-day course in fall 2009. We loved the Battenkill Inn! We stayed in the Adams Suite and thought the bed comfortable, the decor romantic, and the rooms very pleasant. We have peeked in other rooms and would gladly stay in any. The breakfasts were amazing! Neither of us normally eat much... More

The Battenkill Inn is a visually stunning place to host a wedding. There is room for a large tent for a dinner, either sit down or buffet. There is a beautiful barn which can house a more limited number for dinner or for cocktails and dancing. The views from the elevated barn are classic Vermont. Other than guests having extended... We arrived early at the B & B -- knowing it was early but sometimes rooms are available -- and if not we were hoping to get some information from the innkeeper -- who according to all reviews was so pleasant and helpful. She was not there and the housekeeper called her to ask her what room we were in.... More

Yes, this couple is correct. They did attempt to check in 3 hours early on Columbus Day weekend while I was at the grocery store. Although we are happy to accommodate early check ins (as well as late arrivals) we require advance notice as I only have the time between check out at 11 and check in at 3:30 to... More

We stayed here while my husband was taking a fly fishing course from Orvis and I was taking a pastel class at Southern Vermont Art Center. The location was perfect. Room was very comfortable and the breakfast every morning was delicious. Thanks Judy! We'll be back! More

My wife and I just finished a two day visit to the Battenkill Inn and had a wonderful time. It was exactly what you would hope for in a B&B. The room was charming, the hostess Judy was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, and the breakfasts were superb. We will most definitely be returning. PS. The poached pears and the quiche... More

I stayed at the Battenkill Inn in August 2011 for a wedding (held at the Inn) and it was a delightful experience. Aside from the absolutely gorgeous scenery surrounding the Battenkill (which backs up to the famous Battenkill River), the rooms were very clean and elegant with very comfortable beds. They offer a variety of room types with and without... More

The Battenkill Inn was our first B and B experience and it was from beginning to end a delightful and memorable stay. It graciously offers a convenient Manchester/Bennington location within a beautiful setting,an outdoors lifestyle all around and the chance to totally relax.
