This is an old B&B the room we stayed in Sept. 5th-2007 was a garden room with our dog. It had a TV the size of a ceral box, bath the size of a closet and canopy that was creepy, and the bed was uncomfortable. We had no idea it would be this dismal. The dining area is also old... More

I stay in the area frequently for business, and my usual hotel was sold out. The staff was very friendly, my room was clean, and there were some nice extra touches that you won't get at a standard hotel. I would definitely stay here again, but maybe not for a business trip. Reasons being: advertise free wireless internet but the... More

The Village Country Inn at Manchester is exactly how anyone might picture a quaint Vermont Inn...... antiques, laces, old rugs, low doorways, wooden stairways, rockers on the veranda. Its old, creeky, and very dated..... but also sort of charming. Hopefully you arent going there to find modern, sleek and polished ..... We just spent three nights at the Village Country... More

Just returned from a romantic weekend to the village country inn in manchester. This was our second visit, and again we were very pleased. Our room had a great clawfoot soaking tub and seperate shower & king size bed. We always splurge for the luxury suites, and it really is quite romantic. After reading some of the negative reviews on... More

Stayed two nights the weekend after Thanksgiving. Both my boyfriend and I loved this place. The building is very old and charming, but well kept. As in other comments the hot water takes very long to come up, but we just took it as a sign that this building is genuinely old. (We found flushing the toilet helps the hot... More

We stayed in 219 "Provence". Hot apple cider was DELICIOUS! Breakfast was delightful. Atmosphere was cozy. Friendly staff. The Inn had a very eerie feel and several pictures have several strange white blotches that were not in pictures away from the inn...(see picture)? These are also slightly visible on the pictures of the inn on their website. Probably wont go... More

We stayed at this hotel for one evening in a small but comfortable room. The fact that this hotel is tired/dated would not necessarily keep us from returning, but the water problems would. When we checked in, the desk clerk said we may have to wait for a while to get hot water. When we got to the room, it... More

first the good points-excellent breakfast, friendly staff, great location....but the rooms are extremely dated, very tired, dark and in desperate need of a make over, the common areas are cluttered and a hodgepodge. Art for sale is diplayed next to period antiques. The atmosphere is jarring and not very peaceful. The plumbing is horrendous-the shower takes for ever to warm... More

Just home from a trip around New England. Stayed at the Village Country Inn for 2 nights. The staff are very helpful and most are very friendly, and have complimentary coffee and lovely chocolate chip cookies down in the lobby constantly. They also put coffee and tea making facilities in our room just when we enquired about where to get... More

A country inn doesn't get any better than this!! We're going on our third time staying at this inn and I know we'll continue going back. If a romantic atmosphere and old-fashioned charm is what you're looking for, then this is the place for you! The rooms are gorgeous, the restaurant is romantic, the food is unbelievable, and the whole... More
