I stayed with my daughters and the room was horrible one of the lamps was broken meaning the light socket was dangling down microwave had caked on food in it and the deadbolt didn't work I didn't sleep at all because of the lamp might cause a fire and because the extra lock is a safety thing for me and... I recently spent a weekend in Lyndonville Vermont with a friend from the area. Lyndonville is a nice quiet town, not a ton of shopping but the standard stuff you will find there (Rite Aid, Liquor Store, Chinese Buffet, Mainstays like McD and Subway, etc). Great little town IMHO. The Colonade is set close to the highway coming into the... More

We booked this through an online website well in advance of our stay. No mention of it being the back end of nowhere and on a busy junction. It didn't look too appealing when we arrived but we checked in nonetheless. The bathroom was less than wholesome, the armchair in the room looked as though everyone who had stayed there... More

The worst experience I had in a hotel. The sheets in one bed were dirty. The carpet had suspicious stains on it. The worst of it, we found multiple bed bugs and left the room at 2 o'clock in the morning eventhough we were travelling on a motorcycle and it was raining and cold. The gentleman gave us a refund...

This place was horrible. The sheets were dirty and stained. The bathroom was gross. We were traveling through and just spending 1 night.....I couldn't have stayed longer than that and I almost couldn't stay the night. Try to find ANYWHERE else. It snowed overnight and they didn't plow.

What a disgusting, filthy place!! We actually opted to sleep in our car and take a refund! Well that's if you call being charged $20 and only receiving partial payment back a refund. Is tis what we call good service?! We were charged $20 because when we checked in, and did not even bring a single item through the door,... More

There is nothing about this place that is "okay". It is vacant for a reason! We left our bags in our car for fear that our clothes would end up smelling like the room. The blanket on the bed had cigarette burns on it. We took a real quick shower after 13 hours of traveling, my husband pulled back the... More

The outside showed slight promise but when we rolled in at 2am after driving through Canada all day, we didn't care. The room was drab with your basic roadside motel outdated furniture. The bathroom had a slight vomit smell. However, It was better than paying $175 for a Comfort Inn in the next town or driving all night to try... More

Overall my stay at the Colonade was fine. The price was very fair, the room was spacious, with thoughtful ammenities like wifi, fridge, microwave, and small tube of toothpaste. The Colonade has been around for a long time, and it shows. It has soldiered onward long after the former non-attached restaurant and banquet room burnt to a crisp in the... More

I get that the price is reasonable, but the carpet was unacceptably dirty, the bathroom area was dirty, the television had about a quarter of an inch of dust on it, the heater smelled like burning dust and hair, there were a lot of unexplained, loud vibrating/buzzing noises, the bed covers were even really dirty. The lampshade and curtains were... More
