I stayed at the Governor's in with my 79 year old mother for one night in August. The Inn exceeded our expectations in terms of comfort, space and detail-oriented pleasantness. We booked the huge Suite and Laura's room. Probably about twice the space we needed, but the suite has one bed and I wanted two, and preferably two rooms. The... More

I have been coming to the Ludlow Vt. area off and on since 1972, and had driven passed the Governor's Inn more times than I can count. In the early days, I was able to enjoy using family property for lodging while skiing, but that option is no longer available. I had always admired the way that the inn looked,... More

This inn is nice albeit noisy on the Main Street side. Breakfast is fine and the host Jim a nice person up to the moment when we have to pay. We stayed 3 nights in a medium quality room (noisy as of 5,30 am) and we were charged $997(no extra). We tried to discuss the price to no avail. Jim... More

Mr. Roux booked and pre-paid for his reservation through an online travel site, at a time when multiple rooms at multiple price points were available. He chose the highest priced room, with the most amenities. He also chose to visit the inn during fall foliage, our peak season, when rates are highest at bed & breakfasts all throughout New England.... More

The Governor's Inn is a lovely, extremely well kept home and provides a very nice B&B experience. Jim and Cathy are warm, friendly innkeepers and willing to share their knowledge of the area, which is gorgeous. The inn provides travelers with beautiful, clean, comfortable rooms with amenities that you'd expect in an upscale hotel. Breakfast is outstanding and options are... More

I'm not a great fan of BB's but once in awhile in a tourist town We will give it a try. It was very well kept. Only issue was the bathroom was minuscule. The toilet was squeezed in back of the shower. If your over weight good luck squeezing in there. The room itself was ok very comfortable. If you're a... More

We stayed in early March 2013 for a weekend of skiing. The owner, Jim, was always around to answer questions. We stayed in Jessica's Room and it was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The gas stove kept us nice and warm. There is a nice view of the mountain from this room and from the entrance hallway downstairs.... More

Absolutely the nicest and welcoming experience. We only spent a night there, but would go back when we have more time to spend in Vermont. Food was delicious, loved it!!!! Tea time at 4 was perfect...wonderful baked goods. My daughter and I wanted to hike for a day and be close to Okemo ski resort and our friends that have... More

The inn in located with in walking distance of downtown Ludlow and a very short drive (perhaps a mile) of the Okemo ski resort. We stayed in Jessica's room and would recommend it. It has a view of the mountain, a gas burning fireplace and a nice whirlpool tub. The breakfast was elegant, with food that was well prepared but... More

My wife and I stayed here for a weekend of skiiing. It was just what we needed. Our room (Annabelle's) had a gas-burning fireplace that was the main source of heat in the room, and it really did put out some heat. I thought gas burners were just for looks, but this made the room toasty. Breakfasts were delicious, although... More
