We stayed in some very good hotels during our tour of New England, but the Governor's Inn was definitely the highlight. From the afternoon tea served from fine bone china to the wonderful 3 course breakfast, nothing was too much trouble for Jim,the extremely friendly and helpful owner. He was always ready with tips on the best places to visit... More

Although the Inn is a little more pricey than some in the area, it is definately worth the extra money. The location is perfect, very close to the slopes, in the middle of downtown. The rooms are extremely clean and well-appointed. Plus, the breakfast is by far the best B&B meal we have had in a very long time. Truly... More

Stayed for a short 2 nights . Well located and within a short walk to many restaurants and shops. We loved relaxing on the front porch after a long day. Rooms were very clean and well appointed (Homemade truffles at turndown-yum). The 3 course breakfast was exceptional! More

My wife and I went to Ludlow, VT to enjoy a ski weekend at Okemo Mountain. We stayed at the Governor's Inn and felt it was perfect. The breakfast was incredible both mornings. The owners are very kind and clearly take great pride in their inn. Our room was clean and comfortable. The inn is minutes away from the mountain... More

Everything about this Inn was excellent, no hint of a concern about anything here. Easy parking around the back, excellent host providing a lovely breakfast in the comfort of a quaint house in tip top condition. Afternoon tea with cookies after a day on the slopes was perfect. More

Everything about The Governor's Inn was wonderful. The rooms are nicely decorated and the "Governor's Room" was a good size with fireplace. The owners are extremely nice & helpful with suggestions on restaurants and sights to see and supplying directions. The breakfasts are DELICIOUS & enough food that you won't even need lunch. Afternoon tea has more tasty treats daily.... More

My husband and I were looking for a place to spend our first anniversary, and decided Vermont was the place. I found this inn online and was attracted to the comments on its gourmet breakfast. We were not disappointed! The innkeeper was most friendly and helpful, the room was lovely, and very clean. Afternoon tea with home-made desserts were a... More

Spent long weekend here and was very impressed. Great location near center of town. Very attractive structure with views of the mountain. Place was very well run and intimate. Owner spent a lot of time reserving dinner for us all 3 nights. Room a little small but very cozy. Was very sad to leave, will definitely return. More
