We stayed here the week after MLK weekend and the place was empty…which we liked because it was quiet.The rooms looked a little old, but we didn’t mind it too much. I really liked the fact that in the room they had a ski and snowboard holder with a tray on the bottom, so that we could keep our snowboards... more

We enjoyed our stay at Butternut. Close proximity to the mountain and restaurants, shopping, etc. The owners and their dog were great and the free breakfast was a nice bonus for the price. The extras were not as nice as described...the place was a little run down but fairly clean. The hot tub could have been cleaner. Great service, though.... more

Butternut was comfortable, clean, basic lodging within a reasonable distance of the slopes at Killington. The owner was super friendly, and we felt right at home there. The quibbles: some of the bonus amenities weren't as great as described. For instance, the "full breakfast" was actually a tiny portion of eggs and home fries. The game room is cool, but... more
