I have travelled to many places around the world, mostly in Europe, but when I stayed at the Cascades Lodge, I felt that I had entered a new part of an unexplored world. The rooms were very spacious and the food abundant. The hospitality of the staff exceeded all the 5 star hotels in Europe. The view from the dining... more

Stayed here for the first time this past season for two nights. The staff was friendly and didn't have any maintenance or cleanliness issues. In fact I was impressed how fast the snow was cleared after a major storm. Room size with two double beds was fairly roomy but showed it's age. The property is older with some areas needing... more

At first, I was skeptical of the Cascades Lodge as the place to stay for our romantic/snowboarding weekend because of all the reviews criticizing its 80's decor and honestly the price. We are a couple in our 20's and were a little wary of what the environment would be like. But it was GREAT! The location was awesome, we literally... more

We stayed at The Cascades Lodge for four nights over President's week. There were four of us...all adult size. When I booked, I was told the room was quite large with plenty of room for four. We asked for a pet-friendly room, which is something they advertise as being available. For the money we paid, we were very disappointed. The... more

I always try get to Killington to ski early in the season. I stayed twice at The Cascades, the second stay was over Thanksgiving. I specially loved the large indoor pool. I have been to other places on the mountain, and no body has a pool like this one. My rooms were clean and had great views looking at the... more

We booked late for Columbus weekend so this was the only place I could find with a room available. For what we got I thought it was overly expensive. The person I booked on the phone with was a dolt. We were very disappointed that neither the restaurant nor the bar were open - we were told they are seasonal.... more

Went last week of ski season this year for for 3 days with 2 other cheeky fellas before a conference & loved the Cascades, Jeremy Beadle and all! Was very strange arriving late on - looked like a 70s motel/horror movie nightmare, but all was well the next day - great breakfast - go for the Cascades breakfast - will... more

We stayed for 3 nights for a long ski weekend. Booked through www.killington.com for the accommodation & all the ski rental equipment. Check in: Fine Room: Comfortable bed & bed linen. However very dated decor...think 70s. We did stay on the same floor as the pool, so yes you do get the smell of chlorine on the floor. Heating was... more

My family and I have stayed at the Cascades Lodge several times now. Most recently over the Christmas, New Year Holiday. Is a GREAT value for the location, walking distance to the slopes, or you can take their free shuttle..... The pool and hot tub were terrific after a hard day on the hill. Located just down the hall from... more

I recommend contacting the lodge directly because it's usually a bit cheaper than booking online. I've stayed here twice already and am going back this weekend after New Year's. The place itself is old and looks like it hasn't been updated since the early 80's. If you've stayed in many of these places like I have, you know they are... more
