For years I dreamed of going to Vermont. In October my husband and I spent 6 days in Killington @ the North Star Lodge. It was all (and much more) that I dreamt of. Beautiful beyond description. We Loved every minute. I will definitely be going back!! I've been showing pictures to family and friends and they want to go,... more

My fiance picked this hotel to take me to for his proposal. It was excellent, though a bit expensive from what I hear. I usually plan our trips more economically. However, our experience was an awesome! Our room was very spacious. We had a suite. There was a hot tub in the room, which we used every night, and a... more

Just had a fabulous time at the North Star. The Lodge is really close to the mountain and to all the local restaurants and night spots. Its also a terrific value for the price. $441 (($143 per night)for 3 nights on New Years weekend just can't be beat. There were nine of us and we had two individual rooms and... more

We stayed at the North Star Lodge during a family ski vacation after Christmas. The price was reasonable, but the accommodations were very disappointing. Cons: -Small room -Only two full size beds in a room (no queens) -VERY Uncomfortable beds (the entire family agreed these were the worst beds we have ever TRIED to sleep on) -Small TV - Pitiful... more

Location is good - near town - short drive to mountain. Accomadations are good. However building seems very old and dated for the price. Stayed on 4th floor level - many noises through the thin walls and floors are very noisy above, which causes you to wake up whenever the people are up above you. Would suggest staying somewhere else... more

At a local country fair, I signed up for a "win" a 1,000 shopping spree. That was the only the worm...you should have seen what was on the other end of the HOOK at the Northstar....a dirty bathroom, and common areas.....rude staff selling timeshares....promises of free 2 night/3 day stay, which oh by the way is more than the taxes... more

We recently spent a week at this hotel. Overall, we were happy. Checkin/Checkout was simple and easy. We were a bit concerned when we pulled up as the hotel looked old and after a place we stayed last year, we were worried. But, once inside, the staff was very nice and the room was great. The common areas need some... more

I got invited for a timeshare tour from a "winning ticket" at the VT Craft Fair. I drove over 2 hours at $4 per gallon of gas, had not timed the drive and was running about 15 minutes behind. I called to tell them this and was told I'd be fine. When I showed up I was treated horribly and... more

The nice thing about this hotel is the central location and the outdoor heated pool which is kept almost as warm as a hot tub. The pool is just a step outside. They have a restaurant/bar within the hotel where continental breakfast is served including hot waffles with maple syrup. The rooms are clean, spacious but not a lot of... more

We loved the North Star Inn. The price was right and the staff was so friendly and helpful. The room was very neat and clean. We weren't expecting anything fancy, but felt we got a great deal for the price we paid. We had a drink at the bar when we got there and then headed out to the bars.... more
