It was a decent value and suited our needs, as we primarily needed a "base camp". The little town of Jeffersonville and the Smuggler's Notch Inn were full of life during the days we stayed, as the town was preparing for their Annual 4th of July Parade. The Inn, located on the main road in Jeff, which also provides access... More

It all started with no one answering the phone...repeatedly. A local told us they never answer the phone and that we should go over there...if no one was at the desk, then go to the pub and ask there. Well, no one was at the desk, rang the bell three times (no answer), went to the pub (outside and down... More

We seriously regret that we were not able to meet your expectations and are constantly looking on ways we can improve. We will take your difficulty in locating an innkeeper to heart and will see if there are other ways that might make it easier to track down the innkeeper on duty (call cell etc.). We strive to be at... More

This inn is well over 100 years old. The last real renovation was 2004. The floors are slanted and pitch you this way and that.... but that's what you stay in a charming, 100+ year old inn for. There is a large fireplace in the main room as you come in the front door. It used to be "real", now... More

The building is over 100yrs old, so there are little things that at first were surrising... the floor isn't really level, and the walls are thin. But the place is warm (temperature... as we were there in February, but also in atmosphere... very cozy, like you are at your grandma's house). The beds were great! Pillow top perfection... they spent... More

My husband and I stayed here for two nights in February. We arrived in the middle of a snow storm around 6 PM and were immediately greeted by the inn keeper. Our room was lovely: a queen sized bed with a gas fireplace and jacuzzi tub. All seemed very clean. The bed was comfortable and we had a great night... More

This is my first time at this inn and my fiancés second time staying here. He liked it enough the first time to want to come back (always a good sign) and I have to say, I love it. Right away Kathy with a K greeted us and made us feel welcome. The hot tub is perfect for after a... More

We had a nice but rather small room at the back of the Inn. Therefore it was realy quit, The bathroom was big enough. Beds were comfortable and clean. Biggest asset was the breakfastcoupon we got for 'the Mix' ! Fantastic breakfast!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Smuggler's Notch Inn - the staff is INCREDIBLY friendly and helpful and the rooms are lovely. The front porch is a great place to swing and read and chat. The ONLY drawback, was the fact that our room was on the corner directly above the Village Pub, and there was a group visiting... More

After a college dorm experience with 95 other kayakers, a self sufficient apartment was heaven. We stayed at Hannah's House just down the road from the Inn. When we booked they called immediately to say they were filled but had this apartment available at the same price as a room. We decided to take it and booked. When we arrived... More

A nice place to say, the hosts, catered, to our every whim, the rooms, were clean and quiet, and the other guests, were very friendly and nice. Nice and close to every thing to do. Lisa, was an awesome hostess. Very friendly, and helpful. Good breakfast, at the mix, behind the Inn, and good beer and food, at the Tavern,... More
