We stayed at Smuggs for a week over the 4th of July. The condo, although dated, beds were a bit uncomfortable, no AC, and paper thin walls and floors, it was overall fine for our stay. There are many condo's available and depending on what your ideal intentions are, would dictate on where you would want to stay. The multiple... More

Beautiful part of the country. . 1st time to the resort and I must say the resort had alot to do for the kids. The room on the other hand was horrible, it was dirty, musty, and the sheets weren't changed from the last guest. I don't think I would stay there again.

My family has vacationed at Smuggs for eight straight years. After going to Disney in 2004 and it costing a small fortune to wait on long lines, pass through 25 gift shops, and end up back the hotel pool, we decided to go to Smuggs and never looked back. We liked it so much we purchased a vacation home and... More

We wanted a facility that can accommodate 14 people and found Smuggs. Our unit M24 is DEFINITELY tired and has seen far better days; however, the kitchen has everything needed. The pullout beds are VERY uncomfortable and one grandson was poked by metal frames all night! Our kingsized bed on lower level is quite comfortable although the ensuite bath has... More

We did not go to Smuggs for the condos, we went for all the resort had to offer. We loved the pools, hikes, mini golf, tennis, teen center, etc.... and had a great time. There's so much to do for every age range and no need to spend a lot of time in the condos! That being said, the unit we... More

This was our first visit to Smuggs and I hope not our last. I always assumed it was a resort for little ones. Much to my surprise there are activities for all ages. We arrived parked the car and I had a hard time convincing my husband to go anywhere. We stayed in Oaks - nice updated unit had elevator... More

This was our first visit. Check in was confusing as we are RCI members, and we were shuttled around the check in area. Gentleman at desk assumed we were familiar with the resort and chose not to give us a map, I had to ask for it. I never received anything in the mail prior to arrival and found out... More

Hello - Thank you for posting a review of your family's vacation with us. We're sorry to hear that your initial introduction to the resort was complicated by not receiving a welcome packet and by confusion at check in. It does sound as though the outdated address was the problem; we typically do send a packet to our RCI guests... More

We've been back multiple times in winter and summer and love Smuggs. WE have 4 kids from 15-7, and we have our best vacations at Smuggs (especially summer), mainly because of the location and the amazing variety of (simple) activities. Mom hikes. Kids swim in every great pool. We usually do an afternoon at the reservoir (RumRunners) that is pristine... More

We met here with extended family and that was the highlight of the trip. We had 2 condos in the same building (thanks to Smuggs for accomodating that request) which gave us lots of family time together. I only saw the building we stayed in (Hakone), but it's by no means glamorous, though it was located centrally making it easy... More
