For the purposes of this review, this will only be for the lodging as I have reviewed the rest of the amenities on the attraction page. We stayed at the West Hill location in the Falcons #8 condo. The location was right next to the Mouse lift and could easily be accessed with ski in and ski out. The location... More

First time to Vermont, and first time skiing outside the Tri-state area, traveled over 6 1/2 hours to get to smugglers so had high hopes. Had a great time, room was just outside the lift, had skiing lessons every day, they had great experienced instructors and took the whole family to the next level kids ages 8,12,13 and the wife... We traveled with another family to stay in the Tamarack condos at the resort. Unfortunately they put us in two separate buildings that we needed to drive or take the shuttle to get back and forth..not even close. They said we could call in the morning and try to move closer, but it wasn't worth the hassle of unpacking and... More

Hello from Smugglers' - Thank you for taking the time to share a review. We're delighted that your family and friends enjoyed your visit overall and that certain amenities like the FunZone were favorites. We're also glad to hear that the on-call shuttle service served you well in your travels around the resort. How unfortunate about your daughter's snow pants!... More

My husband and I went to Smuggler's Notch Resort on Saturday, January 24th 2015 for my 30th birthday. First of all, the shuttle drivers are extremely rude and do not care if you are in their way! They will honk their horn or try to run you over if you are in their way! Moving on to our original room...... More

This was my first trip up to Smugglers and the reason I traveled 5 hours instead of 3 hours was really because of their stellar reputation as a "family resort". Who: We traveled here with 2 families. It was a total of 4 adults and 5 children (all boys ranging in ages from 9 years old to 3 years old).... More

Came here as a family from Montreal for one day. We are experienced skiers and have traveled to about a dozen western ski resorts in the past year. This is a very nice mountain overall, not too crowded, very friendly staff, with nice trails, hard packed snow, terrific view (especially from Madonna peak). Our only disappointment was for the base... More

Agreed completely with the time capsule description. First- the positives. The staff were all super helpful and friendly and the skiing was good. Unfortunately, it all goes down from there. The resort is pretty isolated in the winter, so you are reliant on the property for eating and entertainment. There is no thought given to any aesthetic "look" to the... More

Just returned from Smuggs on a 3 night stay over Martin Luther King weekend. Rented from a Wyndham owner and were very surprised to get a brand new luxury "Tamaracks" condo in the North Hill neighborhood. It was spotless and I think we may have been one of the first families to stay in it. We were 2 families staying... More

Smuggs is stuck in the early 90's. We booked a vacation here for one reason only: because SKI magazine rated it #1. And the skiing was really very good. The rest of the experience while certainly not bad it was just average for the price paid. The value is just not there. I think Smuggs is resting on its laurels... More

Hello - We appreciate your feedback. It is disappointing to learn that you felt your experience at Smugglers' did not offer good value. In terms of investment, what we've heard from our winter customers is that the ride down the mountain is more important to them than the ride up, and so in recent years we have invested heavily in... We spent December 27th - January 3rd in a 1 bedroom condo at Smuggs (Specifically Mountainview 1 in Smuggs Village). My wife, 5 year son, and 2 year daughter and I had another fabulous vacation. It rained early in the week before snowing a little each day after that, but the early rain and cold didn't impact our fun. We... More
